this manga has potential, but the author is too hurrying the story
it makes the story not develop as how it should be,such a shame, it has the idea and interesting too.

Annoying female lead

One of my pet hates in manga are annoying girls. For some reason, there seems to be an outrageous amount of them and they do nothing but detract from the mangas. Unfortunately this is one of those mangas which has an annoying girl. I really hoped when she first entered into the story that she would only be a minor character, but she has now become someone quite important in the plot. I can only hope that her character improves and she becomes less annoying.
Having got that out of the way; this is an interesting manga.

The girl is SUPER annoying. Honestly after 2 chapters of her I couldn't stomach this anymore, it wasn't all that great to begin with but the girl really brings this down to into the dumps.

It really works

Well, it seems typical (because there's a lot of obvious shonen manga clichés and all)
but it surprisingly is orignal and creative in it's way -- so much potential here!
There is a lot to it so if anyone is gonna read they must go deeper than the first chapter because it's really gripping and fast paced plus the humor is great so it's entertaining

I really like the twists here and the sordid-ness of the main guy who is unique (both egos are)
the main girl is kind of like nao from liar game -- everybody thinks she is the weakest but she is one of the most rapidly surprising character so she makes the story really good
everyone else are all unique in their own ways and readers learn to like them (even to sympathize a bit with the enemies)

So yeah, give this a go because it really is good

a different approach

a pessimistic guy who has a unique ability. It's is a different shounen manga than what we usually see. The fighting scene is well spread out. It's not really a serious battle manga since in the first place, the protagonist is so pessimistic. The artwork is in pace with the plot. An entirely different shounen manga...

i havent read alot yet(there aren't alot of chapters now), but the premise is definitely interesting and intriguing enough to warrant it a 7 star rating.

as others have mentioned, the protagonist is certainly not a typical passionate ultra-positive shounen hero - i've not seen him smile at all, and his ultra-negative thoughts spread out and affect everyone like invisible radio waves, bringing them down with him. So, this is an original work, isn't it? Nah not exactly. my definition of original is when something is created purely out of the creator's imagination, with almost no link to be conceived to current works and yet also brilliant.

In this case, the mangaka seemed to be improvising on typical shounen stereotypes to come out with this work(e.g making the protagonist the opposite of usual shounen protagonists), which isn't wrong either and certainly not counted as a rip-off. In fact it is an interesting combination, but the reason why mangakas don't usually create their characters in this vein is because of the many potential pitfalls.

The more potential pitfalls there is, the more potential this manga has to shine. i hope this won't end up as another of those short-lived shounen manga that does not manage to live out the livespan that its potential deserves.

Very Interesting So Far

En Passant takes a much different approach as shounen manga, and in a way, this actually works.

The main character is not the typical idiotic, perverted, simple-minded individual to begin with. Rather, he is cynical, indifferent and yet, he does have a heart whenever trouble is around. As for the main heroine, it's hard to tell whether she is oblivious or simply naive, but either way, she accepts the protagonist for who he is, despite his nature.

As for the story, I have to wait and see where it goes from there, but is is promising.

Looking forward for future chapters to come.
