I want my life back. Now.

I actually made this account JUST to give this manga a bad rating. Basically all characters are complete idiots. And the plot . . . what plot? The men are all assinine, replacing their brains with their genitals; the women are no better, as they love being sexually objectified as it is "apparently" their only means to get things done, so to say. Nope, not one bit of cleverness here. It's not even stupid funny to make up for the lack of witty funny.

And my rant on the gay issues (not) present: People claim that it's a yuri manga, but really, it just shows a lot of hetero sex (so for those into yuri, I suggest you stay away). And of course there can't actually be a genuine male homosexual couple (heaven forbid if they allowed that to happen). It's just one of those stupid slap-stick schemes where a girl is acting like a boy, and then the boy is relieved he's not gay (again, heaven forbid).

If only there were a law suit that allowed one to sue the uncreative mangaka for wasting our bloody time. Seriously, precious hours of my life have been wasted. Don't become a victim. If you love yourself - just avoid it like the plague.

How did THIS lead to Gantz?

Hen is a textbook example of how NOT to write or even draw a (Seinen) romance. It´s truly unbelievable how every element narrative manages to fail on even the most basic level. The art is downright ugly, the protagonist as an unlikable slut, none of the characters make sense, the continuity is a mess, the sexual elements are all creepy and the laughable ending is badly researched. If you can even call it an ending. I frankly have nothing positive to say and only finished as i couldn't believe how difunctional the series managed to be at every turn. Listen to me and my fellow reviewers and don´t even bother. Stick to Natsu no Zenjitsu (9/10), Zankoku na Kami ga Shihaisuru (8/10) and so on. The previous version of Hen may even be worse than this one btw.

Terrible Manga, not recommended to read.

Terrible story, art and characters. Lots of poorly drawn Het sex. Yoshida Chizuru is one of the worst protagonists you'll see in manga. No character development is found here, and whole plot falls apart after ch.63. Simply put, its a Manga you definitely want to avoid.

I read this a long time ago, but it still sticks out in my mind as being TERRIBLE. I don't even know how I got through it, honestly. Though it's tagged as yuri, I found many aspects of the plot and characters to be downright homophobic. Some of the characters were completely disgusting, though they were meant to be protagonists. I didn't hate the main girl as much as other reviewers seem to, but there is indeed nothing about any character that makes you want to root for them. The ending didn't even make sense. Don't waste your time with this, trust me.

at first it was interesting then i felt she kind of got annoying then the story just well... you have to read it. I honestly dont know how i feel about it. I dont exactly hate it but I dont really like it as well.... the last few chapters made me scream at my monitor. but if you read up to the very end the last 3 pages somewhat redeemed the manga.

i don't really get this manga, and i wouldn't recommend it. Unless you have a liking for 16 year olds with VERY large breasts, who sort of switches between hentai erotica and shojo sensslessness

Falls apart 2/3 of the way through the story

In this manga the writer suddenly shifts the focus to a whole new cast of characters from chapter 64 (of 93) on! Why would any writer do that? After all, we HAD spent 63 chapters getting to know those initial characters, and they were all very interesting, IMHO. Readers build up affection for good leading characters as they read, and all but throwing away a set of such characters 2/3 through a story is a recipe for failure

And WHAT characters were introduced! The main one was a guy so tall he looked like someone with the size but not the muscle to be a professional baseball player. In his sheer excess he seemed to be a manifestation of that phenomenon that's almost universal in shoujo that the leading man be super-tall, sometimes grotesquely so. I guess those manga have to give Japanese women what they fantasize about, but why trot out one of the same type of guy in a seinen manga? My understanding that seinen manga are mainly aimed at men in their 20s. Did the publisher of this thing think that a bunch of standard-sized (i.e., medium to short) male Japanese readers were going to enjoy seeing that guy sweep onto the stage and impregnate an a crucially important female character.

As for the big-breasted, manipulative girl, well, aren't there a whole lot of those in the world? Of course there are, and that makes their strategems interesting, and makes even more interesting a depiction of how such a woman might change for the better, which is what we have in the first 2/3 of this manga.

If you have a heart and are open minded, this manga will make you regret that aspect of yourself. You´d have to be some yuri fan that doesn´t need logic to this one.

A well liked popular but horrible woman decides to prey on a sweet girl. Imagine being that girl, or guy, where people are trying to push you into a relationship with someone that lies to you, you don´t find sexually attractive, and isn´t the gender you even like.

This is the second manga I´ve read by this artist, the other being Me-Teru no Kimochi, which also sucked. I haven´t tried gants cause it doesn´t seem like my cup of tea but god, that was also an awful manga that just had no proper direction.

Also there´s no real drama except for the childishness of the main girl.

I hate the main female character...

As of Vol. 4 Ch. 37:

The main female character is a mean, lying, deceptive #*&% who gets her kicks manipulating people and playing nasty games with them; I can't stand her.

The main reason I've read the story this far is I keep hoping for one of two things to happen: either she sees the error of her ways and turns into at least a half-way decent excuse for a human being, or something unpleasant happens to her and puts her firmly in her place. sad

A fair amount of nice sexy ecchi in the series. The art is pretty good, but the character proportions seem a bit odd to me. The ears look a little weird (as somebody else pointed out), and the girl's breasts are impossible.

I"m hoping things will work out OK for the guy and the other girl in the series, but unless something happens to the main female character I'm pessimistic about the chances of a good ending.

its very good but sometimes boring but still good, and eemm the ending kinda rushed and i feel sad for both satou and Azumi , especially Azumi damn, like u love this person and this person loves u back, announce it to everyone and said that someday they will get married in USA, but then suddenly this person moves school and lost contact to you and you see in tv that person pregnant and will get married with other person, and suddenly comeback again like wtf u take me for? that is that's what Azumi been through lol, just because lack of comunication, thats why comunication is important man- i mean atleast Satou doesn't get false hope and he just catch the feeling in the ending too like Suzuki and Satou doesn't really have anything to tied them down unlike both female couple in here, and Chizuru character kinda trash tho and still sad tho, yeah both of them kinda sad, no its sad.. but the ending in concert kinda touching tho

edit : Damn after read the prequel i very very sad about Satou and Suzuki too like damn damn
