I immediately got hooked with the interesting plot and all plus the super cute drawings! Tomoya is really the perfect guy! So funny as well! However, it would've been nice if the story was longer so we can see more development in the characters and their feelings.
I'm not sure I understand why the mangaka chose to make the characters middle schoolers. It seems a bit... weird to me. I mean, the middle school mangaka is writing and drawing, you know, sex scenes. And the editor (and presumably her parents...?) are okay with this? And then there's the smooth male lead... Who is way too smooth for a middle schooler! I mean, at least they eventually give some kind of explanation for that, but... Well, all I'm saying is that the manga's biggest fault (the unbelievable age group of the characters) could've been solved SO easily just by making the characters high schoolers. Kinda annoying.
That aside, I actually thought it was a cute manga. The female lead is cute and funny... and the male lead is sweet and laid-back enough that he goes well with the female lead. Of the ones I've read, I think this is the best of Chitose Yagami's work.
this kind of guy is always neat. his being sure right from the start that she is The One is incredibly romantic. her naivete is irritating but necesary to the equation. i liked her character on the whole. the story was lots of fun to read. agreat pick-me-up for a breather between harsher series.
Gives you a happy, burst out laughing, run into a wall because so hyper feeling. Rena is my favorite character. Ever since I found her in Shojo Beat, I've loved her character. I hope such a person exists.. even though I haven't met em' yet.. XD
This is an Genuine cute story. While the whole "Girl never had an boyfriend writes racy stuff" has been done how many times this is actually an good read. I am annoyed with Sakura an bit. she was constantly insecure even though everything was fine with her and Tomoya.
Spoiler (mouse over to view)
Every time an "love rival" came in Sakura would later be thinking "Tomoya would be better with her, Not me TT_TT" or something *SIGHS* Besides the "play wedding" everyone's complaining about? it was for him to show he was dedicated to her, he was confident she was the one.
I don't blame him since she was constantly worrying.
but i really liked Sakura's BFF, She was an great friend and very supportive. And Sakura melting into an blob was Funny Lol
I still recommend this 100% just keep an heads up about Sakura in later chapters.
Sweet, but I actually didn't enjoy it that much. I guess the whole 'became a professional, successful mangaka in middle school' thing annoyed me, because I can't imagine a twelve/thirteen year old being able to do that, or, for that matter, anyone letting her do that.
Spoiler (highlight to view)
And then the 'future wedding' at the end? Um, cheesy much? If I may repeat myself, THEY'RE IN JUNIOR HIGH! No one that age, let alone a //boy//, would be willing to commit themselves to marriage. It was just weird.
But, for those of you who don't mind the unrealistic aspect, this is a good read.
