a bit info

A bit of info I think people should know, this manga consists of 8 oneshots to be exact smile spanning from 16 pages to 28-ish pages. So for those who dislike short oneshots, better stay clear from this manga. And if you're a person like me,
I find the oneshots are adorable, not really in the all-cute-characters-adorable but more of the story made-me-go-aww-pinged-at-heart type of adorable. Then again, I'm always more biased towards good art. Still, I think the story is told expertly. For the smex, lol well, the 'level' will increase with every new oneshots ;D
My fav would have to be the oneshot in the summary~

All story in this manga is REALLY GOOD!!! None in this manga that i didn't like. But the ending of all story is Just Like That. What i mean by That is the ending is fast!!! I still want more but the ending is really Just Like That. Well... actually i think too that maybe it's the best if ending if all story is really Just Like That. But still, this is my FAVORITE manga too! Recommended! smile

Getting There

I am pass the point of being bothered by rape in yaoi. What really bothered me now, even more so than before, is the narration, plot and story line. All three of them are horribly lacking in this. I wonder why I didn't rate this any lower, and that's probably because it is getting there. It's not all bad.

Everything is good except for chapter 6. Don't even think that a lowkey gentleness + lame reunion + confession + with a little bit of tears from the rapist would fix every damn rape with the doctor that happened. I mean, what did Asahi want? He raped Yuuta, and when Yuuta showed pity, he was angry. I understand that he was in a state of a mental torture, but I don't agree with him gambling his relarionship with Yuuta in exchange for non consensual sex. He was just soooo fking lucky that Yuuta was a forgiving neko dammit.

So cute and fluffy! I want more on the delivery guy story! That was so adorable! But way too short. Would be nice to have some more character development.

All of the stories are short oneshots ranging from 16 to 28 pages. If you dislike that, I'd suggest not reading this manga. But the oneshots are really lovely so give them a shot. The first story does come with an extra story continuing it so it does continue a little. smile

I feel like every single one of the one shots in here ends so abruptly. Not in a good way where it leaves you wanting more because it was so good, but in a bad way. It was way too rushed in my opinion. I liked the settings and varieties on the couples.
The art is clean and nice, it's okay. The cover had me interested in this manga right away, but the art inside was nothing special or on par with the cover.

Bunch of One Shots. I've read a few of Setsuko's works and she really knows how to express the romance. No chibis or annoying personalities, just cute/sweet little stories with nice pairings :3

A nice collection.

The drawing style of KATOU Setsuko is as always pretty neat and clean. This impression might come from the clear outlines and colorings, which are sometimes not my cup of tea. However, the artwork is average and likeable, if you don't mind this slighty "simple touch".

As for the stories included, they have various well-known settings. The age gap, coworkers or college students love are just examples, but allow you a glimpse of the themes.

Sometimes the stories have an unsettling flow, which shows some weaknesses, like a rushed and pushed smut scene or feelings, that come a bit out of the blue. Sighs. However, especially the "The Depth of Love" and "The Beginning" have been had an interesting atmosphere and funny twist. Maybe they are the main reason, why I was raising my rating by at least 1 point. Coughs.

As always I really enjoyed KATOU Setsuko's art. It's nice and clean and I do not agree with zombiefetishlove on the foreheads. To me they look just fine. The stories were also nice and entertaining. This is a good read to pass some time.

My take on it

I really adored this!
First, just let me say that I don't normally do one shots. Somehow or another I always wish for a work to be longer and more detailed or short or even non-existent. The art work Is beautiful, nicely drawn. It's definitely up to today's standards. The artwork you see on the cover is exactly what you see on the inside. If you don't have a problem with the cover art, you won't have a problem with the inside.

Story's:
The story's range from tales of delivery boys, businessmen, close friends, acquaintances & more.
The story's were in classic one shot format, leaving some stories for the imagination of the reader, while some felt like it could of had more. What do you expect? They're a book of one shots. labeled as such, expect it. More to the point, I mainly liked how the characters didn't seem extremely unrealistic. There was a sense of realness with a touch of the standard Yaoi feel. The situations the character were in didn't have a "been there, done that" feel to it, and were unique in a way. Although, the standard Yaoi level seems to change from story to story.

Final verdict:
I enjoyed it. Some stories I liked more than others, but that's to be somewhat expected with books like these, labeled oneshots. Depending on how fast you read it took anywhere between 25-45 minutes to read. You could definitely finish it within an hour. If your a quick reader, probably 25 minutes or sooner. An interesting, yet lighthearted book of oneshots to read. I completely agree with shoujo_forever's review.
