I want more. I need to know more! Ugh! Why can't I read Japanese! I could buy the books but I'm useless. At least I now know that this is a completed series. Now I just have to get my hands on the them somehow or hope that someone translates it all into an English distribution. Boo!

I really hope someone will continue scanlating this manga... I want more!

Okay, first of all, I don't care about soccer much. I don't judge this manga as a "sports/soccer manga". I don't care how realistic it is, etc. The reason I love it is the characters and the plot. I totally adore the main character, he is super cute (his chara design-- just adorable! I wanna snuggle him) and intriguing. He is pretty refreshing and unusual, a very unique boy character. Could be one of my favorites in manga overall, and I've been reading lots of manga. Although "special", he is far from your usual shounen hero, he has his weaknesses-- and not the usual ones, like hot-headness.

I love manga with bromance, male friendship... There is a lot of it in this manga. If the series was more popular, I suspect there would be yaoi fandom for it. There are many cool and handsome boys.

The plot is very unique, free of cliches. I can't think of any similiar manga. I couldn't, and can't, tell what's going to happen next.

I really like this manga so far (at chapter 15) I like how it's pretty realistic on the sports side

(telepathy?)
unlike other sport mangas that just get waaay out of hand, like how captain tsubasa can have moves that are unreal and there is like no understanding of the game at all.

Just read chapter 19, guess they'll have to add fantasy to this series in a while. It also seems that this manga might stray away from soccer and go action/conspiracy route instead...

Clean Artwork & Intriguing Plot

By chapter 10, I still don't know what "trap" means. In any case, w/ the intense emotions behind the players and a former dead player, it feels a bit like shounen-ai. Seriously, all the guys have an obsession w/ the former player that feels like it goes beyond idol worship.

The soccer team at Izanami High is now in a funk when their best player died in accident. As a result, most players quit the club, there aren't even enough members to qualify as real club any more. In comes, a freshmen who appears to be a genius at soccer, except for one thing. He has no past memories. So now you have a soccer club who refused to forget a former dead player, and a new kid who will do anything to feel needed even if he has to imitate the dead guy's move in every way.

Unlike "Eyesshield 21", there is no comedy in this series, but I actually liked that aspect. Everything feels really serious and intense. There's a lot of burning emotion going on around, and you do get that empty blank slate feeling from Amakusa. It also doesn't bog the reader down in soccer rules and terminology.

The artwork is very appealing, and Amakusa's mysterious past is also intriguing.
