The characters' stupidity rubbed off on the stories

I was really bugged by the first story because of how uncomfortably stupid its characters were. I know the mangaka aimed for comedy and all, but stupidity is not supposed to be funny, it's just plain annoying in many cases and just, you know, idiotic. Only when that approach is backed up with very good characterisation/story telling/etc can a silly story work (look at Shoowa), and sadly that is not the case here. I don't mean to be uptight, but such a story as this one could only be told to a 10 year old, and I doubt even a child of that age would be bought by this. I just.. can't compute with this.

The other stories are slightly better, though still need more improvement to be called good. I particularly liked the last one, not because it's really great or anything, but more like I've always got a soft spot for those kinds of plots and can't easily deny them, so naturally I couldn't help but be more gentle when reviewing it. The characters design still bugged me a lot though; that damn 'young boss' along with his 2 idiotic underlings that are central characters in the first 2 stories annoyed me to no end. I like Abe Akane (and her artwork) but she has got to step up her game to convincingly win me over, because if she continues with this streak of lacklustre manga I might actually bid her goodbye for good.

Pretty fun

I thought this was a cute story! The translation is a little iffy (there are more than a few direct translations of idioms and such, which is...not great). But the art is beautiful, and the story is standard but better than average.
The one guy is really, REALLY stupid, but it didn't bother me too much. The tone was light enough that it worked fine.
I like that this artist draws the semes as pretty and the ukes as (also pretty, but still) more sharp. It's refreshing, honestly.

The second story is pretty cute, too.

The third one was okay. Not good or bad.
