Description
Painter Yukari Yohito will soon realize that despite all that he's been through, leaving his umbrella on a train will be the one thing that changes his life. This author's Eigyou Nika is one of my all time favorites, but I couldn't finish this one. I read it on Renta, but I still kept wondering whether I had a bad translation or the pages were out of order. I just couldn't follow what was happening, so I stopped reading in ch. 2.
I've read both the serialised version and the tankoban version upon reading comments that the serialised version is much better than the tankoban version in terms of story pacing and the presentation of the ending. The tankoban version however delved deeper in the thoughts of Kurosu, and elaborated more on certain scenes.
The difference did not just ended there, weirdly enough. Portions of dialogue were also rewritten and art redrawn, the meanings of certain scenes were totally different between the serialised version and the tankoban version, and shirt patterns too also differed. I understand that usually in tankobans, mangakas sometimes redraw certain panels and edit certain parts of dialogue for clarity or upon feedback from readers, however this tankoban was weirdly vastly different from the serialised version, and weirdly was worse than the serialised version.
But what baffled me the most was the ending. The tankoban ending was unsatisfying, even though the serialised version had a definitive ending.

The serialised version ending had Kurosu and Yukari professing their love for each other and an obligatory H scene, which finalised their relationship explicitly. I have no idea why the mangaka decided to leave it out of the tankoban.
The art is superb, the story could be interesting and touching but I cant get to the story. The translation was so bad. I spent most of the time trying to figure out what they're trying to say. The end was really sudden too.

I wish I could have liked this more because it had all the base ingredients of a good BL manga. The characters were likeable, the setting was intriguing and the idea quite touching, and yet despite the potential, this book wasn't very good either. The art is only average, the dialogue confusing and the pacing erratic to the point that I couldn't really get into the story and root for the characters. Not saying it was a waste of money but I probably won't be reading it again...

It was quite well written, in my opinion, despite the cliches. It's not meant to just be read--it's easy to be swept up in the emotions. Not everything flows or makes sense at first.
I don't recommend it if you're just into yaoi for pointless smut.

Kurosu really is like the Anubis that Yukari portrays on canvas.
I found the rape scene really out of place and quite pointless at first, but then when you realize that oh, Kurosu is the way he is now because of Yukari. It seems Yukari "tamed" him or something through his work. (Or so I believe.) Kurosu as a male yandere was interesting.
The way that Yukari puts his art before everything (even his own health)... But when Kurosu became his muse, it was... Really, really moe. Ffff. <3

This manga only has one story sadly, no extras / or oneshots. The story was well thought once you read through it half way. The relationship was set in automatically and how it was built was pretty nice. Just how it ended with no H-scene from the two. Only H that was -bleh- imo is that rape one...
Overall its a good read, more tension and a bit of angst.
