Description
From Dark Horse:
Alone in his dorm on a Saturday night, Nekomi Tech's Keiichi Morisato dials a wrong number that will change his life forever-reaching the Goddess Technical Help Line. Granted one wish by the charming young goddess Belldandy-a wish for anything in the world-Keiichi wishes she would stay with him always! Complications are bound to ensue from this; the immediate first being the new couple getting tossed out of the dorm-it's males only! As the hapless student and his mysterious "foreign beauty" ride around looking for a new place to stay-risking the different dangers of seeking shelter with an otaku convinced Belldandy is an imaginary woman, and a Zen priest convinced she's a sinister witch-Keiichi's still got his classes on Monday morning! How is his new "exchange student" companion going to be received on the N.I.T. campus? A little too well for normal life to ever return...
Seriously, after being a reader of this manga for more than a decade (closer to two, more like..) Damn Keiichi sure ages pretty slowly... and Kosuke Fujishima sure knows how to weave a very long story.
For new readers or romance readers, this is right up your alley, but if you're expecting a resolution sometime soon, you'd be disappointed, I know I am... For the love of God, this manga began in 1988!!
I really love this It has really struck home for me as I can feel the depth of their love ,Bel has a personality similar to my wife's so I would love to see them get married ,if you marry a Goddess does that in effect make you a god? then they could live forever in heaven I've read all the mangas to date seen the anime series both seasons and the ova's And read the novel "First End" and
Nothing's happening. And when I said nothing, I meant nothing. The artwork may have gotten a lot better, but it also got so boring to the point that I felt like I was staring blankly at empty space while reading a chapter.
This was the first manga I ever got into and I have to say I'm completely addicted. I've read all the manga (available in english) and watched all of the episodes (subbed in english, of course). I just wish there would be some progress between K1 and Belldandy, it's been 223 chapters and so little has happened. Oh well, at least it's a long-lasting story.
Uhhh I guess long would be the word but still can be fresh if you can last through misadventures and side stories last i read new goddesses arrive and take an interest in Keiichi... lets hope somthing happens and the stories moves forward
I really liked all the characters and story, I really did. It had this slow-paced and majestic feeling to it. Belldandy was my favorite character. I really wish it wasn't so long. 10-15 volumes would've fit well with me. I gave up because it was so long.
Unfinished list until I feel like reading 40+ volumes.
the one thing that i love of this manga is the moral about love and life most of the time belldandy is the one who share wisdom... it actually help me!
I really love this manga I already watch anime and it was all very nice and hope that there is still some.
but then while searching I found out that the manga version is still going so that means I can continue my conquest on reading the love story of belldandy and keichi!
I wonder if there are bigger walls of love between keichi and belldandy in this manga.
ah base on what I read there is definitely new about these manga since the anime ended at chapter 189 and after that there is no more on anime.
but this manga will continue the adventure and love story!
While enjoyable it takes a (long) while to get going. Overall I think the anime does a better job of telling the same story, the manga is too episodic to make it enjoyable to read over long stretches. However the anime manages to tie the stories into a more coherent narrative with relatively minor changes (most of which are for the better). So yeah I'd go against the (tired) wisdom that "the manga is better" for this one.
