It's cute, but..

Note: This review is for the US licensed version.

I liked it at first because it was cute and funny, almost like a 4koma (but not). But I don't think it really goes anywhere, even though it seems like it wants to. I don't really think it has much character development. It seems like it tries to build up to a climax (and not a big one) with the Morimori Jiten situation, but I feel like it skipped the climax itself. The last couple volumes in particular did not seem very coherent at times to me. I would often turn the page and think I somehow missed a page because it didn't make sense. This is not something that happens to me often - I have read a lot of manga and a lot of books and I do not have trouble with reading comprehension in general, and I didn't find this problem with earlier volumes of this series. I feel like this is a very incomplete story as well. The end was just like "Oh, it's over? Huh." And there are a lot of things that were brought up and just forgotten, like how they mention the headmaster of the school a few times and she has a few brief appearances, but I wonder why they mentioned certain things about that if it wasn't going to be elaborated on... etc.

Do I regret reading it? Not really.. Do I regret spending money on it? Perhaps a bit...

What a cute manga! I love the characters, they're all original and each of them have their own personality, which i think is quite interesting^^
The art is really cute and nice =3 The story goes slowly and but calmly, it has a nice feel~
The plot's also interesting! I really like the fact that those animals can turn into humans^^

The plot seems very similar to Rosario Vampire, but with a more day to day focus rather than action and ecchi. The art is good, and the talking cat is really cute. In fact, I'd probably be outed on the first day when I freaked out and started hugging a talking cat.
