Title misunderstanding
by satsujinken

The real name of the manga isnt Ashita no Yoichi but Asu no Yoichi, the misunderstanding is cuz of ashita and asu kanjis are the same and also the meaning (tomorrow) but when I was reading chapter 9 I realised that uppon the kanji it is written asu in hiragana and not ashita ^^

To those who said ecchi + harem = fail, wait up... thats just YOUR oppinion then plz dont go saying things like that =/ Have u ever read Love Hina or Mahou Sensei Negima? They are 2 of the greatest mangas and are also ecchi/harem... I dont like Yaoi but i dont go around saying Yaoi = fail... Btw Im not trying to start anything here lol just posting MY oppinion ;D

love this

this is actually a pretty decent manga. though the storyline and some of the humor is pretty formulaic, there are aspects of this manga where this work really shines. art, for one thing, is really good - expressions are done nicely, girls are kept sexxxay, and seeing the maincharacter getting beat up is always a nice panel to look at. character development too, is actually above average for this genre - ok, ok, there hasnt been THAT much, but give the series time to start people!

but its still a 10 in my books. [cuz i love the humor... and the girls...]

An advice

People, people, people... Just an advice. Whenever you see a shounen, comedy, romance, and echii/harem all in one series. Expect the generic, expect the typical. I don't want to hear another comment saying that this is a typical manga, because that's what to be expected on a shounen echii. If you're more into storyline or seriousness or unclicheness, then read a SEINEN or shounen drama. Geez! That's what genres are for! Each people has their own taste! And I gotta say, despite it being typical, stereotype, generic, and cliche manga, I ENJOYED IT!

Now for the story/development of this manga, I won't be comparing this manga to other series. As far as I can see, this manga is more into character development than storyline. The storyline is fairly simple - about a samurai guy who lived in the mountains and decided to move to city and lived with 4 girls. Of course, each girl has their own issue, and other people who involves with them as well. As I've said, this manga is more into character development. So far so good, the development's good, and the art is AMAZING. So if you're more into story-oriented, then you probably won't like this.

Stereotypical but funny start

I don't know yet if this series will turn out to be a fighting manga, something like Kenichi or the fighting will be just a plot device and the story will be all about comedy and harem.
The girls are cute while stereotypical. The boy always gets into trouble with the girls and getting killed because of that, but in fighting he is unmatched so far.
I'm curious how it will go on. Until then i give it an 8.

laughable read

Started reading the series after checking out the first episode of the anime and I have to say it has its own good points. I for one enjoyed watching the naive 17 year old come to the city and reek havoc. While the ecchi is a bit over done at times, 8 year old with breasts, and accidental groping. The characters have a fresh sense to me. It was nice having a main character who isnt a push over whimp. The character development seems to be a bit lacking but its only been 18 chapter. Overall its a great series to me. It had me laughing pretty hard due to the main characters expressions. If you want some entertainment and a good laugh check this series out. If your looking for a thought provoking or a more serious based martial arts manga look else where. Everyone needs to relax and have a good laugh even if they arent "13 years old"

Is it really over?

None of the main problems were solved in terms of the parents coming back or figuring out any of the relationships. I liked it but i'll feel dissapointed if it ends like this. Hopefully there's a follow-up manga that gives a complete resolution

Standard harem

As with most harem, this isn't very good, but it's an ok read if you shut off your brain and just need to relax... well, it would be, if it wasn't for one thing. The main girl is an absolute and total *****. Like in so many other harem manga, the main girl beats the main character senseless for no reason, but in this manga it's taken to an extreme. Even when he's sick and feverish, he gets beaten to a pulp. I really can't believe why they keep using this tired old clichè, as it's ruined the manga for me.
The rest of the cast is actually somewhat interesting for a generic harem manga, and the art is much better than the usual tripe. Too bad it gets ruined by an overly violent and cruel *****.

this is so bad

after reading to chapter 54 then just getting frustrated and ragequitting to the last chapter, only to find out it was just as bad as the other chapters, it makes me wish i hadn't even read it. each chapter is almost identical, with the only difference being the angle of the panty shots. I litterally mean just the angle. how the panty shot happens is literally the exactly the same way. some miniscule problem happens, so someone uses special move (usually yoichi) and then bam naked women appear followed by him getting a raging nosebleed and half getting killed by a woman (or women). every. damn. chapter. Oh and i forgot to mention that the last chapter had no closure WHATSOEVER. If i had actually had to pay to read this manga, i would have looked around for the author just so i could punch him in the nose for making something so shallow.

After reading chapters 1-3, I gotta say some parts are pretty damn funny. The artwork is great. The characters are decent but the one that stands out for me is Washizu, who I guess you could think of as the main character's rival. He reminds me of Harima Kenji from School Rumble, meaning cool personality but also somewhat of an idiot. Check it out.

Now I've read chapter 4 and thus finished volume 1. The characters other than Washizu (who isn't even in that chapter) do feel kinda generic without much in the way of unusual personality traits. The character design and artwork is quite good but a bit more personality would help. Maybe the characters will develop more later. I'll add a rating of 8/10 for now, largely because of the great art and because it's funny
