Among all those praises for this manga, my review could look harsh: It is a plain and average series. Not really bad, but nothing special. Like hundreds of other manga, I'll have forgotten about it in a few months.

The drawings are below average for a seinen, with a shoujou tone. The character are sligthly eccentric, with no more depth than in an average shoujou manga. The story is nothing special for the third first volumes, but then the author had to fill it up till volume 7, and I felt it was often quite forced and boring. A few scenes were ridiculously contrived to please the BL fans, like the straight boy kissing another boy just to prove that kissing girls is no big deal. I skept a bit through the last arcs with the love rivals (did I say average?) and internet trolling, it was too boring too read it all. The last volume is at least a full end, but don't expect a surprise or a real climax.

I was expecting this manga to be one of those gags where the plot drags on and stuff, but IT WAS NOT! The development is so great, and the characters are so close to the heart. The characterization was awesome, and they all were humans.
It had a lot of positivity, and loving one's self. I also liked how they changed their perspective over gay love, and the gay character wasn't played just for humor, he did have a personality.
Really, an undiscovered gem.

The description of this story kind of stopped me from reading it for a while. I started it on a whim and I found myself hooked, I kept reading until I was finished. To start with, the biggest strength in the series is the characters. This is seinen so the characters are allowed to be at least a little more complex than your average romance manga character. I wouldn't really call this story "hilarious" or anything but the interactions between the main cast is entertaining enough that I seldom felt bored while reading and I'm usually smiling. Part of this comes from the fact that the relationships actually advance, very slowly in some cases but they do actually happen. There aren't any real useless side characters or anything, everyone feels like they serve an actual purpose.

The complaints I have are purely minor. For one, at times Rumi kind of gets on my nerves. Yes part of the joke is that she doesn't know much about love apart from BL knowledge, but there were times where she kind of strained credibility. Yeah I know someone acting super crazy in a manga series how weird. It's just that at a couple of points it felt like the drama was being forced. The manga also goes into stuff about the Internet and troll comments, all that stuff just seemed kinda stupid overall.

At its' core, this is still a great manga with fun characters and nice pacing. There are some minor hiccups with the story but I was not expecting to enjoy a story about fujoshis so much. I do kinda wish there was one of those time skip epilogues but putting that aside it even has a nice ending. I recommend this, even if you think this isn't for you just try a couple of chapters and you might get hooked like I did.

This manga is so funny yet it dealt with some serious problem like self confidence, understanding each other, friendship, love and dream <3. It has been long time since I really satisfied with what I'm reading. And this is what I'm reading. Yes, it's true that many characters in this manga are too good to be true, they are all so nice and easy to forgive but that's the best point of it.
I personally love Chiba. He started out as annoyig prideful prince character but as story goes, he's not as perfect as I thought and the mangaka isn't afraid to crack their character but still not OOC.
The ending is really satisfing too. It's quite cliche but well written so you must enjoy it.
Do't be afraid of the BL hints, they're just for joke

as a fujoshi, this manga is so great in showing the world through a rotten girl's eyes. personally its quite far fetched that such naive person can exist, but it just makes this manga so much cuter. i really love the relationships and interactions in this manga, in the end everyone is so nice and make me hope that the real world also filled with nice understanding people too. the main couple is just uber cute, such a refreshing romance. the development can be pretty draggy at times, but the comedy makes up for it.

whether you are a fujoshi or not, read this!

I just love otaku manga, and for the first chapter or two this is one of the most enjoyable I've read. There's something for everyone. Shoujo fans will love it. Shonen-ai and boy fanservice fans will love it. Moe and ecchi fans will love it. There's even stuff for yuri fans. The people who will like it most of all, though, will probably be fujoshi that tend to fall in love with other fujoshi. You will fall in love with adorable, strong-minded, talented, and very perverted Rumi. You'll want to be her best friend (and if you want to be more than her best friend, there's plenty of panchira and bloomer shots of her to keep you happy). ^^ Plus, Fujoshi Rumi is hilarious in a great otaku-manga way.

This is a seinen, though, and it's so fanservicey it verges on being ecchi. Although it's written by a woman, it's written by a woman that writes hentai, not yaoi. This is actually a manga written for guys that like the new 2D fetish that's becoming popular among otaku, fujoshi moe. This intention gets more and more obvious as the series continues. In other words, it isn't written for fujoshi. But fujoshi will probably like it anyway. Especially the type of fujoshi I am, who quite likes ecchi anyway.

So here's my opinion. Read the first chapter or two if you're a fujoshi, because those are the chapters that are pretty light on the girly fanservice and are told from Rumi's POV. Read the rest only if you're in it for the ecchi.

(The translation is a little iffy in parts, especially when it comes to colloquialisms. They translated a Japanese saying as ... "brothers before whores." Nobody's ever heard of "bros before hos"?)

This is both a hilarious and crazy read. It's great for a light read but doesn't have too much development, but such is often the case for a short manga series.
