To all the retards who are complaining about "slow" plot development and "lame" characters, please move out of America. Learn to enjoy the full game and don't just thrive on the highlights.

NW is not just about Shioon. It's also about Jini. It's about the Murim and the Murim world. If Shioon could just recover from the "destruction" of his Ki centre that quickly, there would not be much point in it, right? If you want to complain about dodgy plots and plot-points, complain about the rather contrived point of how Shioon got access to the SunWoo medicine ball in the prequel or with the whole SUC business in this sequel.

I can't understand where your problem lies.the serialization was increased from monthly to weekly so of course the development will be slower.I think some people should consider this fact before saying the manhwa turned bad suddenly.
I don't agree that shion has regressed to the sissy he was in th breaker 1.he isn't back to being a coward he just hasn't the power to be awesome in an ordinary way like beating up people left an right.
the manhwa couldn't continue with his insane growth since it would have become boring very soon and the amount of possible chapters would also decrease by far.
It is false that there is no character-development but the focus isn't on shion right now since he developed so much in the breaker 1.the characters around him are developing since they weren't introduced before.shion will probably develop further when he has to make decisions as the sun-woo clan-leader for which the "political" situation of his world has to be explained first what is done right now.
For the thing "teenagers who save the world"....it's a bit nervewrecking but the older and therefore stronger murim-in can't be made to take him full with a broken ki-center so his enemies can,at first, only be enemies of his master or people his own age.
the manhwa has much potential so it is a bit rash and unfair to abandon it just like that

I'm officially putting Breaker New Waves on my hold list.
27 chapters in and he's still like this!?!?!
I'm sick of excitedly expecting each new release to bring awesome news and being let down EVERY TIME! I'll come back to this Manwha in a few months and hope that the author has made something happen.

We are past chapter 27 and still it's boring as hell...! Nothing like the prequel, The Breaker. We know Shioon will be able to do martial arts again and somehow his ki center will heal or something exceptional like he'll be able to use his ki eventhough his ki center is broken.....

But just get on with it already!!!!!!!!!!!!! It's frustrating to wait for the inevitable for soooooooooooo long! And i want Chunwoo/Goomoonryong back simply 'cos he was badass+ goofy that made this manhwa entertaining.... now it's just one sloppy chapter after another trying to drag out the time when we finally get to see Shioon in his full powerful glory...!

Sometimes this sequel is as painful to read as much watching spanish drama series.
No character growth , a lot of new character who act without any logic just so chapters can end in clifhangers.
The worst thing is that this is under seinen? srsly? the art is more shoujo than some shoujo manga and theres enough drama for it to join the ranks of shoujo manga, more than enough tbh.
The Breaker was awesome ,The Breaker:New Waves is a drama fest.

p.s. in The breaker (the first part) the nine arts dragon was on such high badass lvl that even flowers didnt diminish his badassness.

This manwha is great, alot of people go on about that he should get his power back.
While I think not getting his (full) power back is a good way to not make all characters retardedly strong... If you are going to read this expect weak but infamous person in a violent world where almost everyone is against him. At least till chapter 14 (latest chapter now).
It was almost impossible not to do this because with the powerlevel he had (over 9000) the only opponents he could fight were the bosses and now he has to fight persons of low/medium level.
While being extremely weak (right now).
If you want a manga that not has the man character plowing trough everything and if he's stuck getting some stupid uncreative powerup this is not for you.
If you want over the top powerfull characters go read some dragonball Z.

Latest chapters - Loving it!

Seriously confused Why do authors do that confused Change the character back to a weakling confused Is it because the run out of ideas or what? *Sigh* first Bleach and now this... In Bleach he was at least really powerful, but here, we got to see only a glimpse of his power and then he lost them... hope he's gonna get them back really, really early or I'll just skip these chapters about nothing....

Edit after some time: God NOW this is great!!! BADASS SHIOON, That's how I like it lol. Hopefully he won't become a weakling again. That would end this for me. But latest chapters.. just wow. Love it

Edit after chapter 129: Aw WOW... I have no words... I really want to give it like 10+ after this chapter biggrin

this is really pissing me off, we already had to endure the main character (Shioon) be a weakling and basically a bitch in the prequel for a long ass time so when he finally started to get stronger and kick some ass, i was really happy and basically hope full that he will soon get to at least half his masters level soon...huuu.....but now... once again hes weak as hell and is acting like a bitch...again, im tired of his freakin attitude, he just needs to man up and try to become strong again, i dont know why hes still like this, i thought the prequel gave him more confidence in himself, i think the author should consider giving him more freakin character growth aready cuz as of chapter 12 hes the same

I like quite a few other said, I'm really waiting for something to happen. The Breaker was really good but only really after the first Vol. Vol 1 wasn't good but it picked up in Vol. 2. Hopefully it'll do the same. It's annoying about Shioon at the moment and hopefully that'll sort itself out. But I would still read it, I'm sticking with it 'cause I really want to know whats gonna happen. Read the Breaker and if you like that read this. I really like the way the plot is going with him not getting his power totally back but only partly and he old mindset is there too. But it's starting to look like it will have exactly the same basic plot as The Breaker.
EDIT: Yes, it's got basically the same plot. and the same, Shioon wont back down get beaten up then amazes the other guy.

This Manga Needs a Hero

Lots and lots and lots of supporting characters, but there is no hero. The mangaka made a big mistake. If he was going to go for "new" he should have had Shioon take off when Goomoonryong left. Then, he could have created an all new hero, someone the reader could identify with as he/she struggled to go from being ordinary to awesome. Shioon could have come back changed almost beyond all recognition---i.e he could have stopped being a wimp. I don't see why it was so important to keep a kid who was never that interesting to begin with.

Maybe I will just go back and re-read the first series.
