Beautiful, original, and refreshing

I can't tell if I'm reading the same manga as the other reviewers. This manga is quite deep -- it makes you think about what it means to live in the moment, what role the past and future should play in the present, and whether people have control over their destinies. The romance between Kanade and Arou is also very charming and heartfelt (especially with Arou being one of the kindest male leads ever written in a shoujo manga). The mangaka does an amazing job conveying the light and gentle feelings that embody the spirit of shoujo manga, while avoiding all the usual cringeworthy cliches and pitfalls. This is definitely one of the best mangas I've read, and I have read a lot. smile

sunday afternoon kind of manga?

Maybe it's just me & I have nothing to do on sunday afternoons but it's like that kind of manga that you just relax and read.
It may get kind of boring and personally the repeating messages were annoying and seemed like a waste of pages but other then that it's not so bad. And for people who are just starting to read manga and want something short and sweet, this isn't too bad biggrin

the summary may not make the manga sound like much- but the manga was unexpectedly a page-turner for me. The characterization was wonderfully done and the relationships between the characters were well-drawn (and the heroine ISN'T a wimp which is always a plus). Like someone mentioned earlier, this manga is a simple, feel-good manga. No need to waste your time worrying about some horribly evil character out to wreck a relationship through half the manga. Everyone is generally good and have their own reasons for doing things.

Mekakushi no Kuni

This manga is very cute. It's definitely one of the better shoujo works out there. What I love the most about this manga is the way the characters are handled so that each comes across as extremely likeable. The plot is kind of standard, but the dialogue and interactions between the characters more than made up for it. If you're sick of reading shoujo manga with sadistic guys and submissive masochistic girls, and want a shoujo manga where the romance is more realistic, this manga is worth trying.

Relaxing manga...

It's one of the stories that make you feel good after you've read them. Maybe not particularly deep(well, in fact it's pretty shallow) but heartwarming, cute, and funny. There is a wee bit of drama, but not as much as I expected considering the setup.
It clearly shows that mangaka loves his characters, as in the end pretty much everybody turns out to actually be a good person.
And, the following conversation was awesome:
Arou: "I would like to have another present... that is... I want you!"
Kanade: "All right!" with a broad smile on her face... Simply amazing.
All in all, maybe it wasn't a masterpiece, but it was certainly an enjoyable read. If you don't require your manga to be filled with angst and suffering, be sure to check it out.

It's a pretty cute, heart warming and funny manga. It's a perfect 10 for me. But the only thing I was confused about is Masahiro Namiki's character. At the first half of the story his name is Heiki Shouko and then it became Namiki. I really thought that Heiki and Namiki are different person but they're not. Can anyone explain this to me?

A good read with a good plot but there seemed to be a loose tie at the end. I think the ending could have been much, much better but overall it was a fun story with some very touching moments but still there was so much room for more touching moments that could made this story a 10.

One of my favorite mangas. I really love the artwork, it is so pretty. The story is good too. I think it is sweet and cute. not that extraordinary but definitely nice.! It is one of the first mangas that I've read and it is still one of my favorites
