The author is generous!

It seems recently the author found out that his writings is translated by fan (odd squad), and he made a statement that he permit Moonlight Sculptor novel to be translated and published, as long as no one uses it for commercial purpose.

Really, he is generous. Live long Heesung Nam.

This is so good

That I'm learning korean in order to read the rest. I'm literally forcing myself korea to read the rest of the thirty something volumes.

It's addictive and absolutely satisfying. Every chapter makes you crave for more, even though the chapter felt so good to read through. The story is massive, and the world, and the immersion it brings is astound.

There's a group that is cranking this series, in korean, through google translate, and slugging through the terrible machine translation to get an idea of its english counterpart and summarize that to us.
It's a summary of a human translation of a machine translation for us to read.
And it is STILL GOOD to read through. This series is so satisfying that I can slug through bad rewrite, summarizing, and editing.

Title says all: this has got to be the most fleshed-out iteration of the whole virtual reality premise along with the most likeable character I have ever come to know. LMS goes beyond a mere story about a video game, it is a truly touching celebration of what hard work and a little bit (okay, a lot!) of luck can can put into motion.

It truly is. Plot is fascinating, and i just love those things connected with virtual reality games! Also character is concrete, hard-working and deep. Unlike 1\2 prince, there is not much distracting love stories. I will reread it soon, i guess. It is totally awesome. Ah, just cant wait for the next chapters!

A novel that I read & re-read & re-read again & again

An amazing read if I may say so myself. The first chapter started kinda slow, where we got the background info on the main character and how the story came about. Then we enters the gaming phase which just had to be AMAZING I tell you.

It's just great how he's able to brainwash everyone (npc/users/friends/acquaintances) he met into going along with his pace and making them think he's a hero in shining armors when he's almost the exact opposite but instead of gaining benefits only for himself and make us hate him, by the end of the day everyone got what they deserve and we adore him more. Given that he has such a worthless class in the game (one that he refuses at first but got trick into accepting LOL) people have low expectations of him and then BAMM he did what others has a hard time doing seemingly effortlessly just increase my expectation for his next surprise. The battle scenes are ones that you would just have to love. Instead of going through a steady pace, we got our heart racing, then let down..then woohoo again the main character amazes us. Ohh mann..those moments are precious, thank you google translator.

One might think that his talent just stuck in-game, and that's where this novel's juicy tidbits comes next. Royal Road(a complete virtual-reality game) allows the users to apply what they have learned in-game to the real world. The abilities he learned in-game like sculpting, cooking etc made him an all-around man in real world. It's gaming+learning. Not to mention he got such good martial arts basic=win!! Having real-world and in-game girls+fans go ga-ga. over him, but almost completely oblivious to it, is just precious.

Would I recommend you to read it? Yes!! Go!! Look it up, now!! Get hooked like me!! And then we can go scavenging for even the tiniest bits of spoilers together x33

Amazingly epic

Fans of 1/2 prince and of sword of arts online will love this mmorpg series that deals more with the game than romance. This novel tells of the epic adventures of Weed and how through gaming, he manages go change his poor, in debt family to something much better. Moonlight sculptor has an amazing main character that is greedy but rather has a sense of justice, this novel also has pyshological components to it due to the fact that some of the choices weed makes are due to his past. This novel is the ideal RPG novel, it focuses on the game alot with the different skills, classes and places that in the end, you are like one of those weed admirers that canh wait to see him become king. Moonlight sculptor contains so many epic battles and the plots gets more tense and exciting as it goes on and for some people that likes hints of romance in their reading, MS has it; the idol versus the ideal silent beauty!

After reading the first volume of Moonlight Sculptor, i was speechless. I have no idea how to describe the awesomeness of this novel as i'm suck at writing. All i can say is that if you haven't read it, you're missing one of the greatest novel.

actually, there are scans of up to the end of the first english translation of the novel (chapter 13).
The story is awesome, and I really hope they will translate and publish the other volumes in english too. some of the strongest points of the novel are the writing style, which allows for really easy visualization and immersion into the story. The side characters are decent, and get fleshed out better towards the end of the first volume, and the main character is developping really well.
I didn't enjoy the artwork in the book though, it looks kind of childish and the style doesn't click with the story. On the other hand, the way system notices like 'level up' and such are shown is really nice.

A hard-working protagonist that transcends the meaning of perseverance, The world of Royal Road is amazingly expansive and endlessly intriguing. I admire Lee Hyun for his conviction that overwhelms the inequities of the world. I hope that more people support "The Moonlight Sculptor" in the future.. I wish to thank Jun9008 for introducing everyone to this novel, Oddsquad for working on this until volume 2, as well as the Royal Road and Japtem teams.
