Description
White Garden is a short little story that has a nice sweetness to it. Zhan is a dog who has lived in the pet shop for quite awhile; he had been brought there when they found out that his previous master had abused him. An old lady who is almost on her deathbed falls in love with Zhan and takes him in as her grandson. However, Zhan becomes heartbroken when his master leaves him. How will Zhan overcome his heartbreak?

its tells you that there is love in your pets, you know i dont feel that there is what the previous user said "it's-an-animal-,but-it-looks-like-a-person-and-everyone-treats-it-like-an-anima l"... the autor wanted you to feel simpathy for this pet, they also got feelings and there are to many people out there who doesnt undrerstand that, that way you could see how much he suffers, i guess ithat in one oneshot there are two stories,one its about the love for a pet and his master, two the love for those wwho are forgotten and put aside... its really good.

Don't let the previous comments deter you away from reading this one-shot. Like the previous commenter said, there are several messages the author is trying to convey. I feel this one-shot is touching.
While the art is extremely dazzling, the story interested me more. Perhaps I'm being biased because of personal experience, but I still suggest you try reading this ^^.

Hmmm, it was quite touching and also quite thought-provoking. Did the humans see the "dogs" as images of other humans or was it 'cos the animals had a desire to become human? Or was it something else?
Although the pacing does fumble in certain areas, I really enjoyed the story and the messages it carried.

The art is pretty nice, but the story was weird. I didn't like it that much, and all of the dog-drawn-as-a-human stuff made it stranger to read, since even though I knew what was going on, I kept thinking that there was a whole bunch of considerations that she just completely ignored in drawing him as a human instead of dog-like. The ending wasn't *so* bad, but I couldn't appreciate it all that much.
I guess that this story might appeal to some people, especially since the art is rather pretty in some places, but it was poorly thought up and way too melodramatic for me.

At first, this was categorized as a shoujo so I read it.... and then I thought... huh? This is no shoujo manga. The art is pretty, I agree. You can see that the author did her/his best is drawing it. But the story sucks!!! I did not like it at all. I find it difficult to flow with the story especially because it looked like some weird person with an ear of a dog and who was "actually" called a dog in this story.... I don't get it.
