I've read other's opinion on this manga that it is boring and lack excitement after they read a few chapters, all I can say is read until he became an adult and you can't get enough of this manga..
though I can say that it took too long, I dont know if it's because the author went to detail by detail or added some unnecessary things but this manga will really give you excitement and goosebumps specially in the chapter 400 up. Though this is just my opinion 🙂 every one have different taste...

I just hope that the release will be faster...

I don't know if the author plans a sequel but it doesn't sound like it. It seems like he was content to stop at the world of Japanese high school soccer where Ryuu was a transcendent genius, instead of moving onto the world stage like Captain Tsubasa where he could find meaningful rivals worth overcoming even at his already "transcendent genius" level.

It was good while it lasted, but it feels like there's much more to tell in the life of Ichijou Ryuu. Going pro, joining your national team, these are all great goals, but a professional soccer player's life simply cannot feel complete until they've won the world cup, as demonstrated by Messi himself who can finally retire happy after over a decade of disappointments even while being regarded as the most individually skilled player the game had ever seen.

I am not going to talk about the ending or anything. I just want to say it is a great manga. A great story.
