Happy Cafe is the best one.

Out of the three books this one is the best. None of them are particularly that good, i just like the Aono story the best. The couple is always bickering and the seme is basically teasing the uke all the time. The seme is always cranky in the morning and the uke is always pissed off. I think the Aono story is the only story worth keeping, but i wish there was more to it. I definitley think that there couldve been more to their story. The first story to this book i would give a 6/10 and the second story (Aono) i would give a 8/10.

i like this better than kimi ni sachi are. in the first story, the uke has agency, can defend himself, is actually interested in sex, and makes it happen! and the seme is nice. it's not a particularly deep story, mind, but it didn't annoy me; even naruse isn't bad as a supporting character. i agree that the timeline is weird. i imagine that's due to how the manga was serialised; chapters 2 and 3 were probably not planned for when chapter 1 was written. i think they should have changed the order for the tankoubon anyway. it is less confusing, i believe, if you read kimi first; that way you already know some of the characters, and how they got together. and i'd suggest to read chapter 2 and 3 before chapter 1.

the second story is about aono, the poor guy who was dumped in kimi. it started out well, but then it didn't do anything much with that, but used a stupid misunderstanding to drive the miniscule plot. i like eiji; grumpy coffee drinkers for the win. while he is a little forceful, he does give aono a choice.

there's more sex in this volume, and it's a little hot. overall this is very light fare, but the humour here suited me a little more than in kimi.

confusing timeline

The first story is super confusing when you get to the second chapter. In the first chapter, it is established that Miyaji and Hatoya are lovers and that Hatoya was once in a teacher's role for Miyaji, but isn't any longer. We know from the first book that Miyaji is a 3rd year high school student and his brother Himeji is a 1st year student. Himeji's boyfriend Naruse is a 2nd year who had been abroad for a while. So then in the second chapter, Miyaji and Hatoya are meeting for the first time and Miyaji says that he's a 1st year and further references again peg him as a 1st year...so why are Himeji and Naruse dating, and why is Himeji living in the high school dorm? They hadn't even met until Himeji was in high school, but he can't be Miyaji's age... It's so confusing that I wondered if I'd got things mixed up and read it several times but still couldn't figure it out, and it doesn't seem to be the translator's error.

Anyway, reading the chapter multiple times didn't help make it better. It's really a rather cliche and vapid book, and the art isn't noteworthy in the least. Unless you have some compelling reason to read this, I suggest skipping the whole thing.

This was so cute! I think I may have liked this book even better than the first one. ^_^ We get to see how things ended up with Himeji's brother, who was only briefly seen in the previous manga, and I just love the sensei he ended up with. So cute! And AONO! I've been in love with him since the first manga, and he just always seemed to have the worst of luck, poor guy... But now he finally has someone! ^_^ But since it's Eiji... XD I'm still saying, "Poor Aono..."

I think, that the first story was quite good, but the second one...
The start of the second was interessting, but then the potential of the story was unused and it was kind-of... bland. It wasn't what I expected after 1st story or 'You pray happiness', so I'm a bit disappointed. (But I like Eiji very much biggrin)
