'Beautiful and Bittersweet' is right.

Beautiful, beautiful, beautiful. The art is pretty (not exactly gorgeous, just pretty), the story is moving, and the way it's told... The power of this oneshot to move you is multiplied by the contrast in emotions. For most of the way it's humorous and down to earth, even though the main character was looking for somewhere to die right from the beginning. You're kept guessing at the intentions of the 'monster' even as the story progresses and he turns out gentle (duh, of course he does)... and then, the story turns. The mangaka does a wonderful job of inciting empathy for the main character (Tete) in the reader.
Anyhow, if you like mangas like A Thousand Years of Snow or Forever Honey, then this one is for you.

A sweet story of a girl who was looking for a place to die, instead came across this person who fed her and made her life once more meaningful. The art is pretty; the storyline was smooth and transition really well; and the emotions within this oneshot was overflowing.

Enjoyable, but...

There was something touching about the story, but I wasn't as moved as some of the other reviewers were. I would've much preferred to see more comedy (the comedic moments that were there were silly and over-the-top, just like I like them!) and a sappier ending. As it is, I just felt... unsatisfied when I got to the ending. I hope this mangaka writes a straight-up comedy sometime. I think I'd really enjoy it.

I usually don't go over the teary eyes when reading a manga, and with just this one shot, I really cried my eyes out for the first time in a while... Prepare the tissues if you want to read it !
