Nice Blend of Artwork and Story

There’s still no summary for this, so I’ll summarize the first 5 chapters. A regular orphan high school boy one day gets targeted by people w/ supernatural beings. He then finds out he’s been designated as the nest possible king for these beings. Why some are against him being the king and why some are siding w/ him isn’t clear yet. But it looks like an interesting plot w/ a lot of humor and action mixed in. Mostl likely we’ll be seeing some power ups from the boy in the near future.
The artwork and coloring is really pretty as well. It’s worth keeping an eye on.

After 56 chapters of blah, I came to the point where I accepted that TAL was never going to be good. Hell, I can't even think of a good thing to say about it.

- The side characters are unbearable. They argue, threaten, play their own gimmicky role, and only manage to stir up a single emotion: annoyance.
- The threats that every character, in every chapter, make are empty 99.9% of the time.
- The plot acts like it's moving forward while going absolutely nowhere.
- Despite what others say, the art sucks and isn't something that just takes time getting used to. TAL doesn't have unique art; It has bland art.

Because of the cover picture, I didn't want to read this. It looked stupid. But one day when I had nothing better to do, I decided I would see what it was about, and boy, did I found out. This has a terrific blend of action to comedy to subtlety. The only place I find this manhwa significantly lacking is in the art.
Edit: Scratch that. The style jut takes getting used to.

it is not as bad as some may say
the art may take a while to get used to but the story is full of mystery
atmosphere doesnt stay serious and is funny
the story develops nicely
i read the last chapter 78 and i am hooked and crying for more
i cant hate any of the characters and eventually liked the art
each character has their own story
the point is
give it a chance and you will be addicted

It's great. I like the artwork. Story flow is smooth, but execution is choppy. Some scenes and actions didn't make sense when one considers how powerful some characters are hinted to be, and fight scenes are lacking.
In addition, the Kang Im has poor attention to detail. Markings or clothing that were on the right side show up on the left side in the next chapter, and then switch later.
Still, I find it intriguing. The story is picking up now at 50+ chapters, but the beginning is still engaging.
I'm holding back on a rating until I have more of the story.

First thing first, a webtoon is not a manga, anime, comic, newspaper or whatever other medium, it's a webtoon. They are entirely different media and not meant to be the same.
Anyway, TAL is one of those stories that start with flat characters and humour that often seems miss-placed or awkward, but it has the potential to improve and grow on you after time. The pacing is very slow and nothing much happens for a long while. The story picks up around chapter 50. Webtoon strips are quick to read so you should get there fast.
Art:
One thing I admire is the TV-like fluidity of some scenes. If you go through some of the fighting scenes really fast, you will have the optic effect of a head snapping back, for example.
Recommended for everyone who likes stories about some outsider "getting involved", hidden powers and action.

The pace drops off somewhere along the way. The dangers that seemed imminent become less threatening, due to side stories and the somewhat episodic pace that develops. Waiting for thing to get going in this webtoon is like waiting for Shioon to become a master martial artist in "The Breaker", seems like it will happen anytime but doesn't. EGScans works on it, but I guess interest in the series is low cuz the releases are kinda slow. I'm not really sure, but I think mixing actual plot and action with regular slice of life comedy is what's killing the spirit here.
The author should just drop it

This is getting worse, at this point i dont understand the problem, i dont remember who is who, and there is soooooooo many new character who resembled each other, they change the main character, the art become so ugly (hows that even possible) its lazy drawing obviously, draggingggggg tooooo muchhhh and i dont know what goings on AT ALL
To think early story is good, so sad.

This is the problem with most of the webcomics... the art. The story can be ok, and maybe u'd even start to like it, but the art just pi#>es you off so much that u drop it. And it's a shame. (I am not saying all the webcomics, I like the art of some of those I'm reading, don't get me wrong. Just this one... sigh.)
