Even thought the style is simple and it doesn't go into great detail the artist is still able to capture every emotion the character makes and whoever writes this is a philosophical poet

Before starting to read this manga you should consider three factors:
1. The protagonist is also a narrator. His point of view affects the setting quite severely, i.e. because he is a shut-in and really social-awkward, you wouldn't see too much interaction with any characters other than Yuki. ( yep, I think that's the girl's name ) He has a low self-esteem, which I guess is the reason why his super powers don't work so swell. You will also find ( as noted by other users ) an overbearing amount of monologue, both his and Yuki's.
2. It is Seinen, whatever it means. Lots ( lots!) of feelings, puberty ( strangely, a boy's ), close frame-ups of protagonists' faces, these things. Btw, the drawing is gorgeous, in my opinion.
3. Action... isn't really the center of plot. I mean, yeah, Tsubasu(?) uses his powers at least once per chapter for a dramatic effect and Deus ex Robocop, but it's like an instant win button, not a Naruto-esque battle sequence.
Oh, and lastly. This review was written when only nine chapters were translated from Japanese, so for example, if it's already 2017 when you read this, you are advised to take it with a grain of salt. ( but not too much salt. The translation is slooooow. And no, I don't mind. )

The manga has a lot of coming-of-age themes, which leads to lot's of introspection and not much focus on action.

I wasn't expecting other ratings to be so low, but I suppose it's a matter of whether or not the reader finds Tsubasa irritating or not (honestly, I personally find Holden Caulfield more annoying). I enjoy the method of storytelling and the way the mangaka explores the relationship between the two leads, for one.

Anyway, it's actually pretty interesting as far as the plot goes. The characters aren't that unique (a willfully weak protagonist with low self-esteem and a manic pixie dream girl with a dark past), but they stray far enough from those tropes that it doesn't impede the story much because the interactions between the two and the events that transpire are far more fascinating. The story itself is about as angsty and awkward as you'd expect from a teenaged narrator.

Deep In Two People's Hearts

There are lots of manga that are fun stories, and very few that try to go beyond that and show people's feelings on an internal level. This manga can do that because the esper theme allow lots of the thoughts and, especially, the feelings of the characters to be displayed. It is fascinating to experience that, and lurking in the background are several big mysteries about Yuki.

Also lurking is danger to the main character from the other, mean boys in his school and neighborhood. I'm rooting for the main character and Yuki through every chapter, but I'm scared for them too.

Lots of suspense in this manga!

rather unusual manga, but disapointing

The drawings are typical of this mangaka, though I thought the quality was very irregular, with too many text-only cells.
The story is nothing much, a slow romance after a reluctant start, with a touch of magic (ESP) and violence. Like other works by TAKAHASHI Shin, the tone is extremely melodramatic. But the story-telling is rather unusual, with a constant voice-over of the main character, mixed with the mute thoughts of the girl that he can hear thanks to his powers. Most of the text in the manga comes from this monologue and this one-way chat.
I dropped this after reading 8 chapters. The voice-over was irritating. I was really set off by the "Oh BTW a serial killer just came in" incident, so cliché and clumsy. I also deplore the complete lack of side-characters and environment: for example the mother and sister of the main character talk or leave notes, but they have yet to get drawn.

Spoiler (mouse over to view)
Let me get this straight this kid is a delinquent and loves music; he is constantly beat up ;he has ESP and only uses it for silly things ; lives in a freezing hell hole of a mountain town; his childhood friend ended up working works in a brothel and she wants to "Graduate him to manhood "..kind of sad that ; also he can hear an out of town mute girl on the street,in his head and her voice is melodic, who says that a guy just wants to screw her and ignores it ...;only thing he really loves is playing video games ;and finally uses his powers to save the same mute girl from being Gang raped by controlling her body via his powers like she is a VG character and manages to hit himself *-*...wow kid your life is pretty much crap and it seems like you never stood up for much...alright this is the first chapter wonder where this will lead besides down a deep dark rabbit hole...But if this kid gets his shit straight I will continue .
