Most of the Touhou doujins that I've read were mostly comedic, and were good for a light read. This one's no exception, though it is one of the more longer running Touhou-jins( that's just rolls of the tongue) that I'm aware of. It's also the most random. This is the only Touhou-jin I've seen where a shrine maiden battles youkai, an angel, and a god in a shrine-turned-robot monstrosity that she wants nothing more than to reduce to rubble ... oh, and there's an oni in miko clothing. Just a heads-up. Each chapter is episodic but has some loose connection to earlier chapters; pretty much standard gag manga fare. Both Reimu's greed and laziness are the butt of many jokes, as is how much more diligent a shrine maiden Suika is despite not knowing what a shrine maiden does. Can't really complain about the art. It's detailed enough but it also feels a bit simplistic at times. Maybe it's just me. It's a nice light read that practically anyone can understand without really knowing anything about Touhou. Though it does help to read up on just what Touhou is. ... Last updated on April 17th, 2012, 3:39pm
