It is nice.

Manga itself is not bad, but Russian inside is 90% rubbish, and as I'm Russian myself it was keeping distracting me even though I was reading in English. But ending was very sudden and unexpected.

This needs to be a longer series

The concept is heartbreaking but beautiful, and I would've loved to see more pieces of stories woven together based on the main dude's experience from writing the letters. (this isn't giving away much btw)

And the twist at the end hit me hard.

It was actually very nice. And wished it went on longer. I really want to know more about the guy himself.
Spoiler (mouse over to view)
random guy at the train station was writing a letter for this man. It told a story of a butler that loved his mistress but didn't have the heart to leave his job for her. They never ended up meeting again after she got married because he passed away an incident that happened. It was very sad they never got to see each other in life. End with the guy burning the letter.

I got a little peer pressured into giving it a 9 xD after seeing these glowing reviews

Might have given it an 8 in an isolated environment! It was beautifully drawn and elocuted, but again, the thick me didn't get the part of "a reverse angel of death" the scribe played, but seemed like the longing was dripping off of each page and every panel, so the bittersweet and wistful feelings were put across very well. The best bit is I was visualising the future of all characters while I was reading the story and that happens very rarely! The mangaka really leads you along gently in this one. Very nicely done, even non shoujo fans will enjoy this read immensely.

too bad this is only a oneshot, huh..
it really is a good story, the author actually can make it as a very promising series of episodic story like Yami wa Tsudou ..

A masterpiece. The story is done so nicely and it has such a wonderful message. I'm not into historical reads but this one was just amazing. A great oneshot that will suck you in and hold onto you for dear life. Read it, you won't regret it!

This manga is truly wonderful. I am in awe at every single page and by far, it's one of the best one shots I've ever read. Reading this made me think of how great the mangaka is. Moreover, the characters were a great contrast. Once again, it's truly wonderful.

I have NEVER been so impressed or so affected by a one-shot, and rarely by...anything. To explain why would be to explain all, so I'll leave it to you to read and discover why.

Without having experienced the events in the sidebar, I wonder if the mangaka could have written this.
