The whole thing is greatly confusing.

I feel like there's some really deep concepts that the author wants to convey, probably? maybe? Or maybe it's all just a pretentious excuse for some really beautiful art?

Either way, even though I feel like I got the point by the end, I mostly didn't understand what was happening while it was happening. For some reason, I did keep reading and wanted to know what was gonna happen next, so there's that.

The naked shots of the ladies, even though they were technically inanimate objects made humanoid, made me uncomfortable and I feel like they were unnecessary at times.
Spoiler (mouse over to view)
I don't mean when the prostitution themes were mentioned, but for example the running gag of the organ girl waking up naked, or the scene near the end when she talks to Orpheus OR JFC THE SCENE WHERE that other organ girl, Sylvia, takes her clothes off in front of her "daddy" what the....

I also feel like the main male character is a useless cartoon cutout, I still don't get what his deal was.

And what's with the organ hate anyway? Sure you can't play it with an orchestra unless you're probably in a church, but hey, it's been done? I don't get it.

Don't count on the romance either, it's pretty nonexistent and even then it's a stretch.

The art though, beautiful. 5 points for art + 1 because for some reason I kept reading.

Confusing

I'm not sure I really understand what's going on.

Basically, in this manga's world, musical instruments have physical bodies and humans can pull the instruments out of them as their players. Musical instruments that are thrown away or mistreated can go wild and it seems to be that the main characters' roles will be to calm these raging instruments down.

But everything is just really confusing. When the male lead - the 'player' - pulls the instrument out of the female lead - an organ - it's not an organ he pulls out but a sword? And he doesn't play music, he just slashes stuff?
I'm not following anything really; what is it about the male lead that makes him 'special', and why does this special quality make him reluctant to play instruments? There are a lot of hints but none of them make any sense.
What do the female lead's headphones have to do with her tuning problems, and why isn't she able to produce any sound?
And also, during the battles the main characters have with the raging instruments, how do these battles even get concluded? I'm not sure I know. There is some sword slashing and then the female lead wakes up in bed and all the action is over...

Every single chapter was confusing for me. Too much going on, too many characters piled in, too much information that doesn't translate. That being said, it's an intriguing concept. I think I'll keep reading and hope things start to become clearer.

Not sure how the 'romance' side of this is going to pan out. The way it looks right now I can't see the two leads getting together any time soon.
