The final "I came to take your hand" sounds as the line a groom would said to his bride in the wedding, don't you think? When the bride's father give his daughter's hand to her future husband, that exact moment.

This is such a great story. The art style is so clean. And although it was short it felt like it spanned so many chapters. There seems to be some confusion about the ending but from what i could understand Rin asks the priest of the church to hire her as the pianist. Because Rin understood that she had the power to change people's hearts and whatnot. So, she lives her natural life and then only after she does so and dies does Rin come to finish the deal. At the beginning Rin says he collects beautiful body parts so he won't be lonely anymore and that was certainly his goal at first. But instead of literally taking her hands at the end, he figuratively does. He restores her youth and they'll walk hand in hand in the afterlife or something lol

Ok, so There's this talented girl and an unexpectedly kind demon. Didn't really get the ending, well that's just the author's style I guess. Either the girl died, became a ghost and ended up with the demon, OR the demon took her hands in the end and felt as if he was holding her in his arms. Either way, I'm fine with it, haha. Rather sweet story.

I have realized each manga of Chise's work is totally different. There is no repetition whenever comes to story line, meaning and background. Each time the character is new and beautiful in its own way. Althought i do not like all her mangas, and maybe thats why, I recognize her as an breath-taking and respectable mangaka because it is so rare to see.
I was so taken by this manga I can not even fully explain it. It just touched me deep within my heart. He really was evil after all ^___^

The ending was a little hard for me to understand, I'm not an idiot or anything but I wasn't sure if it was meant to be symbollic or it actually happened. Lol. Either way, I loved that you could tell that the two had feelings for each other but it was enough. I was sad that it didn't come to fruitition, but if it did I'd probably be mad at its cliche-ness

i've been reading a lot of her works, but i think this is one of the top of her lists in my opinion. it's like it doesn't deal with the romantic formalities; it's just meaningful and it has a lot of character development in a few pages. it's so wonderful and strange and weird and wonderful, unlike a lot of what i've read.

I read this oneshot in French, and if anyone is capable I highly recommend doing so. If anything, it kind of gave me a more romantic feeling, and I felt so nostalgic while reading each sentence. It was very sweet and the ambiance was nice.
