Description
From Tokyopop: Merleawe has left her hometown and moved to the capital city of Viegald to attend wizarding school. On her way to her first day of school, she bumps into a man who kidnaps her and takes her to the castle, where she is charged with an awesome task—impersonating the kingdom’s master wizard! Fearing war would break out if it was known the master wizard, Sylthfarn, was missing, Sylthfarn’s inner circle has decided someone must pretend to be him. Merleawe tells them that she will take the job!
But not only does she lack the ability to cast more than simple magic, she also has no idea who the master wizard was! Unraveling the twisted threads of Sylthfarn’s disappearance and keeping up the appearances of both master wizard and first year wizarding student makes Merleawe’s every day challenging, magical, and amazing!
It's a great series with great art..... but there is absolutely no romance TT.TT I think it might have been a better story with a little bit of romance... It's a cute story and a good light read!
The artwork is absolutely gorgeous but that's honestly all I can really say. Oh the characters are really good to I think, but the story didn't flow for me. It seemed like the story was finally going to heat up but then it'd just fall flat. This definitely isn't one of my favorite stories at all, it also led you to believe that romance was in the future but if your looking for a good shoujo you'll have to go somewhere else. In my opinion the story had neither drama or real fantasy. Still I love the artwork and the characters.
I just love this manga. I'm really not a shoujo person, and I find Gender Bender's to be lame, but I thought this was fantastic. The art is totally gorgeous, it's what first drew me in. The character designs are really great too, and the characters had much more depth than I expected. The plot was creative and so sweet, I just loved it. Really a great read, even if you don't like this genre.
OH MY GOD, THE ARTWORK. It's so gorgeous. Okay, artwork aside, MagicalxMiracle holds a special place in my heart for childhood, sentimental reasons. So maybe if I'd only recently discovered it, I would have put it in the 7-8 range. It has a decent plotline, great characters, and a fairly satisfying ending. It's a bit cliche. There are some nice, touching components in the plotline. There's actually quite a bit of character development (especially from Merleawe, the protagonist), which was a welcomed surprise. Tons of shoujo sprinkles all around. The fangirl in me was dying for some romance, but I respect the mangaka for choosing to omit possible romantic ventures as that would have taken away from the heart of the story (aka Merleawe's development into an adult). Anyways, I recommend this to anyone and everyone except for those of you that can't stomach shoujo manga. But then again, if you can't stomach shoujo manga, why read a series called MagicalxMiracle?
the art is really cute... the characters are really interesting..and i love the gender bender parts the plot is really interesting but some of it was really lame but i absolutely loved the ending! it was just soo sweet!
The drawings are satisfying. I bought the manga, so that's saying something. (?) Gender bender is always a good find. I'd like to read something else of Yuzu's works though, since i'm not quite fond of this one. But I am fond of her artwork. Solid 8/10 for artwork and creative plot. =3
i just like there is something missing in this series .. like an unfinished story but forced to finish .. There is many question in my head when i see the "the end" like why Merleawe is really look a like with Sylth .. and the flowers too .. aaaargh .. i still curious about this story
but i like the plot, the artwork, the story (even if something is missing) ...
I love the art its very simple yet cute i loved the plot but didnt really like the ending and the death part it felt left off. I loved how it was emotional at parts. i even cried.
Cute...too cute... Don't know about the ending part(can't judge it), but in general I spent loads of fun reading this manga. As a light read, it's a good find.
