Not that good

The predecessor of 'time leap to old self and change future' trope?.. I assume.
I have no idea why I can't bring myself to like this series. It's just that bad. Only read the first half and dropped halfway through. I have to forced myself to read it.
The only likable things was the side characters.

When I saw this the first time, I thought that this was yet another wimpy guy's love story. But this manga is awesome, the characters, the humour everything. Don't miss this.

So after finally going through everything, Aoshima finally saves Wagatsuma from dying. Even though he changes the future multiple times. It shows 1 last future at the end where he still marries her, though albeit later than his original timeline where she died from malaria it seems.

maybe look for something else.

the story starts off pretty well, but after around 20 chapters it just kinda seems to drag on. a lot of the comedy in the story is based off of cultural things, or japanese actors and shows. the crunchyroll scanlation does have in information to help explain them, but unless you actually know them the comedy feels lost. there were very few moments that i felt hooked by the story. only the MC seems to have any real progression. so if you are looking for something that has very little emotional attachment and can toss aside and pick up later, give it a shot

Too Japanese

The humor relays too much on referential comedy which is problem when all of the references are to Japanese pop culture. There are some funny physical gags but they are few and far in between.

The time slips are the interesting parts but they are mostly played for laughs and don't follow consistent rules. There is some character development but you never grow to like the characters in anything besides a superficial way. The art work is inconsistent and gradually gets worse in my opinion.

I finished the entire series in on a boring day but this is a very forgettable series.

Good Premise, Bad Execution

The plot seemed like it was going to be pretty cool, but from what I read there was too many time jumps without much progress from each time. It seemed like the time jumps did not affect anything, and were added for the time jump sake.

Axed (Or just a terrible, rushed ending)

It's a fun manga, just meant to be read for laughs. Don't go into it expecting something serious or mind blowing. It's one of those manga you read when you're tired and just want to turn off your brain, and read cute and/or dumb things. The art is really well done, which adds to the cute appeal. It has some boring parts, but they are few.

Sadly, it was axed. The ending is horribly rushed and comes out of nowhere for no reason whatsoever. No real extra development or anything.

Either way, it's nothing outstanding. It's really just average, you'll read it and forget about it soon after.

Looking for more exciting romance

The comedy is good but I would say first chapters compared to last chapters was excellent .
Spoiler (mouse over to view)
the end of story should be much more better than that! seriously, today technology decreased the mortality rate of malaria even for children because most of death report are about children that didn't received the treatment!
In short, malaria is preventable and curable.
I hoped that they said something about unknown parasite or mutant virus or aircraft accident...
That end wasn't expected
so I give it 5, sorry

Abandoning ship(ing)

This manga started out great and felt like one of Furuya Minoru early works. Before he switched to dark drama and wanted to convince his readers to commit suicide. But after 9 or so Volumes the narrative reached it´s natural conclusion and should have started it´s final arc. Or the mangaka should have begun to switch to the future permanently. But no the manga became a success and the story turned into a harem/romance cliche nightmare.
The repeated running around in circles started to decay any character development the story reached and now i don't buy or like any of the leads. Just like Yamda´s 7 Witches or School Rumble.
So what remains is a very funny looking and recommendable manga that jumped the gun due to success.
The end of volume 12 is finaly my jumping off point. I will only return for the final chapter to gain closure and hope that the authors next work will turn out more rounded. So i really recommend the manga to a point.
If you felt that you had enough just quit because the lulz certainly did.
Update: I speedread the rest for the ending and surprise it was BAD. So unromantic and just dumb.
A 10 year(!) skip where noone important does anything, no dating, another timetraveler out of nowhere and the africa as hell cliche. Wasn´t this supposed to be a romance ?
This happens if you keep on dragging on. The first half is still good so my rating still stands.

Good

I read the title of the comment below this one before beginning to read this series so Ie xpected it to go down hill. I've only read the scanlations, none of crunchyroll's releases yet (i.e. up to vol 8 ch 46 [actually ch 57]) but I don't think it's gone considerably downhill. It's pretty consistent after the novelty lessens a bit after the first few chapters. And it's good.

It addresses something I've always wanted to compose about: that the tiniest decisions can affect our future in major ways and there is no one true path. Early on we see him drastically change the future, but it is still a happy one. In a way it's sad that those certain happinesses are mutually exclusive, but in another way it's beautiful that they can exist.
And the main character realises he must choose between them, despite the apparent losses it would entail.

Furthermore the 'time slip' isn't a cheat code through his life. HE doesn't go to the future, get info, go back and win big. In the first chapter you'll see a bit of it but later in the story he also realises that he's isn't all-powerful, even if he knows what's going to happen. He tragically fails, multiple times. But has to search for a silver lining when possible.

Finally, it's consistently funny. Though soemtimes I'm just like 'WTF!? o.0' most of the time i'm amused. When they suddenly parodied the works of Fukumoto I was cracking up. It's a shame that almost all the non-manga/anime references are lost on me though, only understood a couple that the target demographic Japanese reader would probably understand. Nice tl-notes for the most part, though.

It's good, and it's focused around the time-travel/re-do the past trope that I absolutely love.

EDIT: Also, the art is insanely cute bigrazz
