Description
19-year Segawa Yuuta was looking forward to start his new university life and go through a normal university life, making new friends, etc, etc. But suddenly, when the plane which his elder sister and brother-in-law were on went missing, he became the 'father' of his three young nieces! Now, his six-tatami mat apartment not just has to accommodate himself, but 14-year old Sora, 10-year old Miu, and 3-year old Hina. What will be the fate of Yuuta?

You're being prejudiced and haven't actually seen the anime. If you would look at the crunchyroll comments, people often respond saying they are fathers themselves and say that the series really touched them. This story is very well done and not in any way "gross."
As to the description, the english is off so I copied the one from baka-tsuki, but the part you mentioned is correct. Miu is in elementary school. You must be out of touch with the world to some extent. Quoting wikipedia "For females, (puberty) occurs on average between ages 12 and 13." Miu is 10, a little young, but still certainly possible.

Don't the descriptions get checked or at least proofread? Obviously, Japan man write description has very good!
Also, I know the school system in Japan is different, but I doubt a elementary school aged girl is going through puberty. Just saying >.>
Good thing I saw the anime version first. Kinda funny from what I've read, but the sexual crap is gross. I have nieces. Nuff said.
