Description
Noda Haruko has hatched a plot to get tasty lunches; she's put a love letter in a paper airplane and tossed it out into the world. By chance, it ends up in the hands of a lonely boy named Katou Seiji. Haruko confesses her "love" for him, and her hope that he'll become her husband and make her delicious lunches. Surprisingly, Seiji agrees, and becomes her boyfriend-chef. Seiji allows himself to be swept away by her childish enthusiasm, but he keeps trying to find ways to make their relationship more 'real'-- by holding hands, kissing, or simply being alone together. My review got lost due to a bad post and I don't feel like writing it all again, so here is a short version:
This series never gets very funny or very romantic (though it's more comedy than romance). It follows multiple quirky couples in high school setting. The art is average at best and the story is sometimes hard to follow. There were a few sweet and cute highlights and the ending was one of them (otherwise it would have been a 6 or less).
The way the shotacon couple got resolved was something. I totally didn't see it coming.

In the end female lead asks MC to make bento for her, but by this point she grew closer to him and it's a love confession of sorts (heart throbbing moment for both of them). It didn't matter who made her bento in the beginning, but it did in the end.

It was a bit episodic and focused on side characters a bit more than I liked, but it was alright.
A nice manga of the genre.
it was wasted by promoting the interests, activities and romances of side-characters instead of focusing on the main couple.

From start to finish there was no romantic progress between the "main characters," Noda and Katou. All of the other pairings in this series had far more romantic development than Haruko and Katou (actually, they didn't really have any). Even the Twin Dragons relationship had a tremendous amount of development compared to Haruko and Katou's. Katou has gone from being Haruko's private bento cook to being Haruko's private bento cook. Of course, that's the whole premise of their relationship to begin with, so it's no real surprise that Haruko doesn't show any romantic interest in Katou. Having an abundant amount of snacks, even, is more important to her than her boyfriend, as demonstrated by her choosing sempai over her boyfriend for the "Love Monopoly" game. It seems clear to me that the big reason Katou didn't try anything to advance their romantic relationship is that he knew that Haruko just wasn't interested in him that way. He was her boyfriend in name only.
Sweet but a little too innocent high school episodic series. This group of kids were fun to read, but I'm glad it ended when it did because it never goes any deeper than a surface skip. Some of the relationships would have been solidly interesting as a full story, such as the unusual pairing of an older girl/younger boy with a huge reverse height difference.
