Can't help but love it

Rating: 7.0  / 10.0
I always feel really conflicted about how to rate this kind of manga, namely, the kind of manga that I rationally know isn't very good, but I love anyways.
Let's start off by clearing the air. Yes, the girl is a grade schooler. Yes, the guy is much older. But their relationship isn't sexual; it's barely romantic and very pure, so anyone who's screaming, "Pedo!" is reading way too much into it.
The premise is confusing. The mangaka doesn't thoroughly explain the limitations of wishing, nor does she explain how Hell and demon quotas work. It's an annoying but forgivable oversight, especially since the manga feels more episodic and sitcom-y as opposed to a very plot-based work. The manga also suffers from having an abundance of cliches (godly nice child, demon with a heart of gold, and a priest whose nature runs counter to his profession). The main character in particular suffers from selfless heroine syndrome, and the fact that she's a child is helpful in some ways (because children are often seen as pretty guileless) but is annoying in others (because kids aren't that generous).
That being said, the humor in this manga's pretty good (I particularly enjoyed the demon trio). Again, this is more of a guilty pleasure type of read. It honestly isn't very good from a purely objective perspective. But I'm really attached to it, so if you have some spare time you should at least look at a few chapters.

Everything I ever wanted

Has all the elements I want in a manga. Romance, age gap, demons, white hair. The manga that ever got close to my favourite categories to this was hana to akuma. Now, I am eagerly awaiting new chapters.

The main girl, although very young, is a definite plus for me. She doesn't seem as weak and overly annoying to me. I can't help but either smile, laugh or squeal in every page.

This is more shoujo than shounen i would say, its very cute! and you will laugh your heart out! Its about a 5th grade girl who wished to marry this demon dude in exchange of her life span, and the more she makes wishes, the sooner she will die..and i guess thats the only sad part about it, but its really cute how the demon feels guilty for taking her life..i also love how the other demons totally went lolicon for her XD and she handles them pretty well XD she is a cool 5th grader XD

Couldn't agree any better

I entirely agree with the comment below (made by supmaguire). Indeed, I am so glad it's not lolicon. But not only that, I'm also glad that the story is progressing well. Shounen, huh? It sounds like it. Uika-chan is just adorable, and the way the author utilizes her character with the other demons is just hilarious. If you honestly give this series some time, you'll find yourself wanting to read more. It's truly adorable and definitely not cliche. It has some depth and actual meaning to the characters and its funny moments actually count--it's probably what adds flavour and spice to this manga. Nonetheless, the art is perfect; it goes along with the style and storyline of the manga. I can't wait until it's finished; hopefully they make this series not too long but, of course, not too short either (it'd be such a waste).~ An anime adaptation would be amazing, too (I'd definitely watch it 'cause I'm sure I'd die of laughter with the comedy live in action). It's definitely not a waste; please give it a try. I honestly can't blame anyone for saying it seems like lolicon. Sure, marriage with a 12-year old girl sounds creepy enough, but it's the progress of her aging/maturing that will bring this manga into much higher lengths. And, if you actually have some patience with the characters, as continue to read on, you'll notice that the way Anzamunia and Uika act are definitely not lolicon. It's amazing how Uika can truly find compassion and hope in Anzam, and nonetheless, Anzam beginning to have some good thoughts of Uika and his life. It's not meant to be based on a romance genre--it's mainly based on the progression of how one's life can change when opening one's heart to another (hopefully that sounds right...).

Anyhow, I'm just reading for the romance, personally because I'll definitely find it adorable if Anzam grows to love Uika AS Uika is GROWING UP. Not when she's young, BUT AS SHE'S GROWING UP. Yeah, hopefully that thought gets through. It kinda reminds me of Hiyokoi--I know it's like I'm trying to cause an argument here (I'm NOT trying to suggest that I want lolicon here, hence why I caps-locked the words), but personally I would love to see Anzam and Uika growing up to mature and finally love one another later on as Uika grows up to become a beautiful woman, and yes, she will become a beautiful woman Anzam will want to love and cherish~

And YES, I couldn't agree any better; this series is truly precious--one you'll probably never forgotten you've read, and one you WILL most likely want to read again.

Laugh out loud funny

This has all the ingredients to be super messed up: little orphan girl sells her soul to a devil because she is lonely and wants a family and so she asks the devil to marry her. But, praise Jesus, this is not lolicon. So far the manga doesn't have any romance between the devil and the little girl (Uika), but focuses more on how Uika's desire to have a family and people to care about slowly changes the devil's attitude toward humanity. Uika is very nurturing, but not in a romantic way becaue she's 12 years old haha

I recommend this, it's very precious

Awkward to read

At first glance it seems like your average human-demon love story, but when you look at the details, its kinda awkward. The girl is actually still in elementary school and the guy tries to do everything to get her to die quicker by using up her lifespan (she loses 12 years of her life in the first chapter alone). Or to put it another way:

Its a story about a (will-be) child killer.
