So much manga is the same thing over and over! There are a bunch of kinds of fantasy, unconnected with any real world I know, and they are done over and over again.
But here we have a set of stories that are the product of a unique sensibility, but try to deal with real issues that social interaction raises. They're interesting, fun, and sometimes weird, like Terrence Swiff says below.
(And one of them will seriously scare you, if you think about it.)

I feel tense reading this series because sometimes it's funny and sometimes it's misery-inducing. Sometimes, it's even both. I never really know what to expect. I put my thoughts down on the series in a review, and basically what I came up with is that I think in either case this manga is quite excellent. Typically it's about strange people, and that can possibly lead to laughs or disturbing moments or sadness. Huh. This is a really bizarre one.
