From Day of the River:
Our crybaby protagonist Hirahara Tsukasa hasn't always been a crybaby. Due to the death of her older sister Chihiro, Tsukasa hasn't been able to dam up the flood of tears ever since - even about little things.
She is further disheartened after moving to Tokyo from Hiroshima, especially after a series of incidents cause her and her four classmates to miss the train and be late for the entrance ceremony on the very first day of the school term. From what I've read so far, it seems really good. What I like about the series is the fact that the heroine recognizes a flaw in herself, and wants to change. Shojo mangas usually gloss crying over as being a natural female trait or being cute. I appreciate that the heroine really wants to get tougher. Despite the fact that she's naive, she hasn't had an easy life. She's self deprecating and cares excessively about other people but it's nice.
I like the pace of the manga too. It isn't going too fast or too slow. It is cliched; there's no doubt about that, but it does turn some cliches around and it's a sweet story. The characters are good too. Himeno is your usual Tsundere, but while certain tsunderes can be annoying, he's really lovable. I like his quiet encouragement and protectiveness over Tsukasa. I hope she ends up with him.
The friendship is developing slowly but steadily. It doesn't feel fake. It's got a lot of humour too, and I think this is a good manga.
It isn't a masterpiece. It's a good way to spend an afternoon and releases are worth looking forward too. The plot isn't original but characterization and storyline makes it unique.

The manga was very well done. The female lead is VERY strong. She embarrassed herself AND she had done stupid things, but she still got up. The other two males were interesting. I liked how the girl wasn't a damsel in distress. True, she got made fun of by the guy, but she also made fun of him.
She is very cheerful and naive, but she is SMART, and relatable.
The cast of characters was also realistic. I liked their real life problems, too. It wasn't a heavy manga, but you could still feel for the characters.
YES, there were few cliches, but they were very well done and believably done that you wouldn't feel like it ruined the story, but it actually made it more interesting, since it satisfied our imaginations.
RECOMMENDED

Aw I'm not really into crybabies, but Tsukasa is totally an exception. She's really sweet and I don't find her annoying at all. The other male characters are also lovable. I love this story. I'm looking forward to seeing what's going to happen next.
A masterpiece

The story is a lighthearted read, great for a relaxed afternoon. It's not too long, and the artwork is appealing.
The characters are likeable and the protagonist's/ Tsukasa's tendency to cry is a funny characteristic that I don't see too often. Although the plot isn't all that original, what I found interesting about this manga is their treatment of change and character development. It seems like everyone, including secondary and side characters, have a desire to be someone more, and it's quite uplifting to watch!
However, the ending was disappointing, there was so much that could have been explored and some issues that were left unresolved.
TL;DR I'd read it! It's not a big commitment, nice to read, with plenty of humour, and I finished it feeling good about myself.

The hero of this manga doesn't have everything together and he's awkward and not great at expressing himself, which makes him a lot more real and lovable. I like the main couple's chemistry throughout.
Spoiler (mouse over to view)
I kept waiting for Chisa and Miya to get together but nope! I think they belong together somehow.

As a girl, playing this card in a Shoujo manga is what makes the lead characters' love for each other much more deeper especially for such a predictable and typical story. And Nozomi's personality, given that he's supposed to be the sorta "evil" other guy, is actually likable and not even the least bit pathetic. Nice characters' presentation.
Can't say much for the little drama plot though.
P.S. Chisai and Misa though...

Tsukasa x Himeno are the cutest otp ever! Like seriously. They are really really adorable. Of course, it's not the most original plotline and what not but I felt that the progress was good and there was some character development. It was a cute romance that I enjoyed immensely. Unfortunately, it ended when they just got together... I want to see more of them!

I really like this story. Two words: Hirahara and Himeno (ok, three words). They are the cutest thing on this planet since - I don't even know. I ship them so hard that the only flaw I see in this manga is the annoying 3rd wheel (or other guy in the "love triangle') who keeps sticking around. It's ok though, I trust in my heart that she will end up with Himeno (if she doesn't there will be blood... LOL JK. Um... seriously though.) xD

Honestly I only read this when I was bored and too tired to read a very long manga.
Wow, I was not diasappointed a little bit.
I love this. And it is short. But I wish I could see the other characters' development
