Watanabe should draw more older ukes!

EDIT 11/19/2012: Up to vol 3, I felt like the charm that the first one has is lost. The style changed drastically...it's kind of more like her elegant soft-line detail style, but it's still nice. Though I prefer vol 1's style more, it's more graphic and she only shows more of her line delicateness in emotional/important parts of the story, which makes them more beautiful. The story is taking a predictable turn, but let's see how this goes!

Apparently this is the Watanabe's first scanlated doujinshi(that's not original doujin). She has an unique sense of art style, and at some point it's so beautifully abstracted...but her plots are usually flawed and forgettable. I think this is the first time I truly liked her comic.

This time I'm pleasantly surprised how well the story is. It's around 60 pgs (<3), half is talk/story and the other half is hot steamy scenes! Watanabe should draw more older ukes! Her shota-looking boys are good, but you know that her semes/older looking characters steals the spotlight(to me at least). Tiger looks absolutely edible every page~

The second part will be released in Dec...! Hopefully that gets translated. There seems to be a possible love triangle...?! (this other person is someone who is meant to pair up with Tiger by default?) ;3

Volume one saw a great amount of potential, even if the Barnaby/Kotetsu was scarce and there was more Keith/Kotetsu. For me, it felt like the right amount of pacing and dialogue and was masterfully done. Volumes two and three then saw it almost backpedal (in my opinion), and turned back into a cliched love story. Like silver_blaze said, the art style of the first volume is different than those later on--I kind of miss it, actually. However, not to say this isn't an enjoyable read; I personally want to know how it's all gonna turn out, though the constant referral to Kotetsu as a "bitch" seems to be trying to say something?

So the doujinshi has finally come to an end. Gotta say I quite like it. Among all of Watanabe Asia-sensei's Tiger & Bunny doujinshis this is the first work that I read (so naturally I'm a bit sentimental towards it) and is probably still my favourite - I've been following it for 2 years, and now that it has finished I feel like I enjoyed it a lot. But then the smut is awesome, so.. I might have been biased haha. Anyway, putting the smoking hot steam aside, I think the plot is well thought out enough, combining elements in the actual manga with the mangaka's own flow of perspective. I do think some parts of the story here are a bit redundant and it could have been made a little bit more condensed. Nonetheless I could say Watanabe Asia-sensei has not failed me with this work.
