I love this author

Before this manhwa, I had already read Annarasumamara, so I was expecting a lot. In Annarasumanara, Il-Kwon demonstrated that he can convey important messages in an original and impactful way. He uses colours to create the atmosphere or emphasize the themes, he uses real pictures to differ from the usual webtoons and highlight the meaning of the objects represented and he also uses metaphors. We can see some of these things in God of Bath too, but here Il-Kwon adds something more: humour. This manhwa is hilarious, especially the first chapters - believe me, at a certain point my cheeks hurt so much -, but this doesn't mean it doesn't contain important messages. In fact, it really made me think sometimes and the ending scene is really incisive and meaningful.

I really hope that my review will stimulate someone into reading this manhwa ^^

For a specific kind of humour

I came here via a Tower of God reference and I'm glad I did. It's HILARIOUS. You'll like it if you get the author's humour. Just don't take it too seriously. Then again, it's not for everyone, as some people will find it stupid and meaningless (which, to be fair, it really is).

In contrast to the author's other notable work, Annarasumanara, this one is to make you laugh. It's really fun and light. However, there was also still an underlying moral and theme to this webtoon -- hopefully you'll find out by reading it!

Phenomenal.

This is an amazing work by Ha Il-Kwon. It starts out as an exceedingly weird but outright hilarious comedy (my favorite part: the narcissistic main character's daily selfies) and becomes an exploration of passion and 'living one's dream'.

And just like Yakitate Japan and other manga and manhwa, God of Bath is also an example of how every job, hobby or activity, no matter how mundane, can be turned into a phenomenal story if the author is good enough.

This is crack done right.

Weird MC+deadpan humor+ wottt competitive bathing!?!+lil bit of eew+ some seriousness = WIN.

This is really damn funny and original. Though it seems like the main character is the only NORMAL non-scrubbing-loving guy, he's actually a selfie-taking, arrogant and dramatic monologuing freak... Amazing-- because I can totally empathize with him and his warped situation ^^

Can't wait for more.

A refreshing (and haha should I say exfoliati--*gets scrubbed raw*)-- comic for those who're tired of angst and oh-no-I-drown-in-woe stories.

kinda creep me out with all those naked handsome guys, touching other people body to scrub their dead skin. lol. yes, this is about scrubbing dead skin, and the main hero have a hand that said was great. so the story revolve around him becoming the apprentice of dead skin scrubbers. ha il kwon works, this one also have nice drawing.

Weird... and rather gross...

I am not sure what I think of this web comic yet, but it grosses me out since the main job (and competition) is to get as much "crap" off the human body as possible by scrubbing. I had no idea this was a job in Korea. Blah. Any way, there are competitions and a hierarchy based on their crap-scrubbing skills, and our "hero" (I'm seriously loathed to call him that, since he's a disgusting little worm who's too concerned with his image) apparently has the crap-scrubbing "Hand of (the Bathing) God." Yeah... it's weird. Random and weird, so if that's what you're looking for, try this out.

It's really odd to say that this isn't the craziest webcomic I've seen, but it's pretty close. It's a prime example of one of those wacky Korean comedies. Go into it with the right frame of mind - it's crack.
