This is not a review, obviously, since there are no scanlations yet. This is just me, being so very happy that Prince Ludwig is back ! THere are some deeper works from Kaori Yuki, one could point out, but I've always had a soft spot for this delicious and hilarious series, so...
anyways, the art wasnt the way i remembered it or maybe the series was more detailed. no matter how i look at it, i just want another go at his adventures, you know. i just want a season two. the small details in the story like when he said they are entering Andersen shores because the Little Mermaid is by Hans Christian Andersen and Ludwig is Grimm, thats just so... yeah.
just so-so. this sequel is very light compared to the prequel, even the art is light. i understand its more than 5 years, so theres some kind of change or evolution but im pretty bum that the flair of crazy art and crazy story got more generic. BUT still worth reading!
Disappointed.. >.> i love Ludwig Kakumei and was really excited to find out there was a sequel (although it's just a one-shot) but it really wasn't that great. Here's why: The flow of the story was a bit choppy because it would go to one scene and then jump to another which made it confusing (kind of like her other new one Iiki no Ki). I had to look back and see if I had missed something. The story was also lacking because the plot was just blah (it also had nothing to do with the colored picture). I think Kaori Yuki could do much better. Same with the characters they weren't very likeable. I also felt that it wasn't as charming as the prequel.. and one more thing, is it just me or does Prince Ludwig seem younger? haha well check it out for yourself and don't jump on me for the bad review.
OMG I can't believe kaori yuki going to make a sequel, though she said she would work for LK's sequel but wasn't hopeful, so this news come with a surprise LK is one of my fav. manga ever
