This thing is full of great themes (self discovery, responsibility, commitment, family, friendship and more), and has a believable setting and characters that make reading it feel ... necessary. Like I just *have* to know what's going to happen, both because I'm interested and feel for the characters, and because it seems like the lessons learned as regular, everyday life goes on in the story are actually applicable to real life, and worth reading about. This is a strong title inevery aspect, and I'm thoroughly enjoying reading it.

Start reading this manga while I was on another mangas like One piece, The breaker and others fight stuff, but when I take a glimps of this one, I just coulnd´t stop reading it, it´s a really heart touching history... and Daikichi is such a cool guy.

It's not my first time seeing a father daughter manga, Yotsubato, Hotman, and My Girl just to name a few. This being josei, well nothing coming to mind means I haven't read a josei that really made an impact, I just had to put it on my on hold list.

Surprisingly, despite all the cliche, I'm hooked, lined, and sinkered after the first chapter. If you like the series I mentioned above, you definitely must give it a try.

Some say that it's slow paced, I think it's well paced. A year was told in four volumes. Well, it doesn't really matter because there wasn't a boring moment.

One thing I really like about the art is how Rin's growth was depicted. It's almost like she grows with every chapter.

Usag Drop is indeed very slow paced, but it's also very earnest and entertaining. I usually don't read slice of life series', but I made an exception for this one as a result of bordem and curiosity...and I couldn't be happier that I did. I've already read the latest Japanese volume, which is just as good as the mini-Rin portion thus far. I can't wait to read it in English as well.

I really like this series. The first parent to child relationship manga I started reading was Otaku no Musume-san, which I really enjoyed. When I came across this I loved it even more, I like how Daikichi really cares for Rin as if she were his own daughter. The more I read, the more I enjoy it.

Edit- The ending destroyed this manga... enough said.

I like this one a lot.
Family manga attract me a lot for some reason~
The art isn't very good, but it grows on you. (didn't touch this manga at first because of it, but it indeed grew on me).
Daikichi is ugly, but nice and sometimes charming. Especially with his care for Rin.
Despite the art overall, Rin is drawn in a very cute manner, and makes the cutest expressions! "3

Chapter 14 (so far the furthest released) was really good, and felt so nice and real...
Made me all *kya kya* ....

If you like slice of life family manga, or just want to try it out, you should give this one a try.

Never mind, they're all deserving of it.

Usagi Drop is one of those slow, quaint titles that latch on quickly. Essentially, it is a slice of life story revolving around the main character and his aunt (who is young enough to be his niece). Initially, the story is a quiet chronicle of the mismatched duo as they make their way through life, and the guy's quest to find out more about the scamp he has taken on.



At least, that's what I think. The series has a long way yet to go. Don't be put off by the quaint art - the charm of the series is something that would be a shame to miss over something so trivial.

Usagi Drop is one of my favorite familial stories. It takes a little girl with a memorable personality, and shoves her together with a somewhat inept, but good-hearted single parent, as is the cliche in the genre. What makes Usagi Drop so interesting is the writing- the author approaches the situation in interesting ways with unique little bits of humor and drama thrown in. Of course, the height is reading about Rin and her antics, but all of the characters that have been thus introduced are compelling on some level. People who like slice of life will enjoy this, anyone just looking for a lot of melodrama should probably continue searching though.

i must say this title is very interesting!!! i just love the way this guy is struggling with his new life with a kid when be4 he was a bachelor...it does have lots of potential...the pace is laid back but every chapter is interesting...i love it!

if u like slice of life u definitely should not miss this...more oriented toward older female but older male as well

Its rare that I'll look at a series and be willing to grade it perfectly. This however is one of those stories. Its simply too good to pass up. With humor and seriousness, its hard not to like all the characters, even the idiotic Daiki, who though his heart is right, still struggles doing whats best.
