Sex, drugs and rock 'n roll? Not in the case of THIS rock band. For Shouri, Nozomu, Ai and Yumeji, it's more apt to say that their lives are full of angst, confusion and uncomfortable romantic feelings towards each other.
When temperamental lead vocalist Shouri urges the band to disband, it marks the end of their playing beautiful music together. Suddenly, it seems they need to go their separate paths. Shouri jokingly states he wants to be an F1 race car driver. Nozomu is busy trying to get into Tokyo University. Ai wants to go to the US to be a pro musician and Yumeiji, well, he's a big mas... I was a bit reluctant to pick this book up, mostly because of the above average ratings it's got here in mangaupdates, and also because I could only read the manga through the scans provided online, whose quality is really poor with blurry texts and images everywhere. My eyesight surely had gotten worse after this. Thankfully I still made it to the end (with much difficulty in guessing what the text in each speech bubble could be) because actually, I have to admit this is not bad at all and the effort was worth it. Sure the stories aren't that original and the conclusions might have been a bit convenient, yet I still like what I read a lot. The characters appeared a bit iffy at first, but strangely enough the mangaka had managed to develop them quite to my liking, and the story telling is surprisingly a lot more fluid than I had expected.
Honestly speaking I didn't hold much anticipation for this manga, especially when I saw that it was one of Abe Akane's first works. And thus it surprised me all the more for I feel like she had done a much better job on this title than her recent publications. The fact that there was only a tiny bit of 'action' also didn't really bother me at all, and although the manga is not entirely without flaws, on the whole I genuinely enjoyed it through and through.

it has a good setup, and interesting characters -- and then it doesn't quite live up to expectations. there's not enough internal dialogue for my taste, so i am left guessing at what the characters feel; especially when it comes to love. and so nothing really involves me enough emotionally to feel for the characters. kinda odd too that this is a story about a group of band members, but we never see them play as a band, and really, there's only one short scene where somebody actually plays an instrument.
it's virtually screaming for fan fiction, *grin*.

Honestly the art and story line wasn't that great, but something about this series made me give it a 8! It's just one of those series you dont think you like but would still like to keep a copy of it
