Perfect art, perfect plot, perfect characters....everything is perfect.. The art is a bit old, yes, but the detail, mannnn....I cant imagine how she draws that. (I actually stared at pages for hours). The characters are all beautiful (though at first it was hard to tell leo and his father apart. lol). A broad variety of characters: the strongwilled girl, the prince, the knight, the crossdresser, the commoner, the beauty, the tyrrant, all variations that can probably exist. It spans generations, showing alot of character development (especially Eshlid). Blend of politics, romance, tragedy (a lot), comedy (a bit), and pride. This is probably one of the best shojo historical romance I've read so far. (almost on par with VoB). Fate plays a big role here, so keep a lot of tissues by your side. There is a lot of crying to be done when you read this
I am dying, waiting for this to be continued!!
If not, I wish they'd make this into a KDrama, or a European series (Hollywood would destroy this), and I swear, this will be like a hit. I could imagine it already...ahh..if i were only a bit older and had a lot of time, I'd have taken this project up and turned it into a trilogy.

I hope he is Heroic, a loyal and handsome man and they will be a really really lovely couple. I am dying to read vol 32, so don't stop, you did it sooo well! and the story still amazes me. i would wholeheartedly recommend this manhwa to everyone with its epic tales of love and politics over 3 generations, if only it werent so tragic and heartwrenching at the same time. most importantly, theres a terrible cliffhanger at the end of volume 31, and the series has been on hiatus for years!!! i really hope it gets completed one day, its really too amazing of a story to be left unfinished.

This is one of those stories where you need to have time to read (or rather if you don't have time you will MAKE time for it). It is enticing and very well written, however the characters do have similar facial features so if you take a break from it, it will be hard to remember who is who again. Regardless, it's been almost a year since I reached the "end" for this manga and I still know exactly where I left off.
It leaves a very strong impact on the reader and even though it is long, it's more like reading a history textbook (which might sound endlessly boring to some) with every dramatic detail.

This is a very sad, tragic, long manhwa, and a very good one at that. I don't want to mention the negatives, because although there may be some (and there might be big ones), this manhwa's really worth reading (and that's why i gave it 10). The story covers a long period of time and has a lot of characters with a good storyline (it depends though). The politic's not complex and it's easy to follow. I really hope that this manhwa will continue, the hiatus's almost 3 years.

This series reminds me a lot of other (very long) shoujo series I've read. Definitely similar in the facial characteristics department, especially for a huge cast. Luckily they have some subtle differences and very unique backgrounds and I was subconsciously able to tell most of them apart. All the usual archetypes are also here. The jerky ones, the hopelessly devoted ones... and they bring along the cliches as well. But then isn't the concept of a princess marrying a prince among the oldest of them all?
Somewhere along the way I think I started to enjoy this series. It's a story told over generations, with a huge number of characters, each one with their own (mostly tragic) past, and if you end up reading this series, it is (some of) the characters that you will care about, not the politics, petty scheming (that makes us all human) and whatnot. You could basically call it a big collection of connected romantic (and/or tragic) tales about princes and princesses (who doesn't like them), alongside the main political events which unsurprisingly are not the focus of this series. The stories unfold rather naturally, though not without twists, and some of those twists could be quite surprising . And Sei is easily the most popular guy with the readers. He's a hax.

OMG... The best ever...
SO angsty and yet sweet at the same time...
Sometimes i cried, sometimes i envied the love that they portrayed in this manhwa.
My favorite couple?? Tor & Lala took the first place. The second place goes for Leo & Eshe.
My favorite chara so far, Sei or Sibel. I can't decide it yet... >.<

nways , i hope this is a good manga and please dont stop this manga here , hope to complete reading this series and it will be really dissapointing if the series is stopped (as i read at the end of vol 31 ch 10). its pretty exciting thou many details are missing.

It is really good, but very sad. I get depressed each time I start a new volume. The story is very interesting and full of awesome characters, I can't wait until volume 31 comes out!!!
