Deadlock

Description

Yuuto Lenix, a former DEA investigator was arrested by a false accusation of killing his own partner. The FBI agents gave him a special deal, to look for a particular criminal hiding in the same prison. By the time he was detained in the Schelger Prison, he got to meet his cellmate, Dick Burnford, who didn't show signs of being kind and welcoming upon his arrival. Will he ever be in good terms with his inmates, especially to Dick?

I like this story, very unique compared to other typical yaoi mangas out there. The art is splendid! Characters are not super manly nor super girly. I really hope this gets continued though, because it hasn't been updated for a while ;__;

Very interesting plot and the most beautiful art to bring the story to life. I'm definitely Dead in Love with the manga/novel! I could say, hope to more more continuation of this manga/novel soon and hopefully it get's translated into English. OMG the art! _ I'd read this manga just for the gorgeous art, even if everything else was a steaming pile of crap. But the story is actually quite promising plotwise. The prison setting is (as far as I know, which obviously isn't much) reasonably realistically written. (except for the goody-two-shoes lawyer and crook secondary characters, maybe, as said below) I'm expecting a lot of angst and painful situations, but I hope it's not gonna be too trying... The characters are a little too model-esque for me, but the art is clean and pretty. The story has been done before, but it's always about HOW it's done. There isn't enough of this story to really tell yet. But the beginning is fairly interesting, and I would be willing to read more if it ever got translated. I'm assuming in never will because it has been so long, but if it's finished I'd pick it up again.

this manga is awesome! plus the art catch me. Why it has to be licensed? 2 chapters is not enough with me. Buy online cost much money at my place hard to order. ( Not only the VIEWFINDER series but also DEADLOCK. please think about the orthers who dont have condition to buy as much books licensed they want to read

Well, where art is concerned you couldn't get much better than that, in my humble opinion - although sometimes I felt as though there were too much light, it was too clean both for the setting and the atmosphere it wanted to convey. Also,I found the distinction between "pretty boys" and "ugly thugs" a little off-putting, with so many good guys being shoved at us right from the beginning, most of which (if not all) looked as though they had just checked in in the wrong hotel. Ahah. It's a pity it got licensed so early in the scanlation process, since I don't trust the story enough to buy it yet. I don't think I'll ever know the ending now, ahahah. It was still worthy, for me to get to know another wonderful artist. I really hope to see more of her (:

Someone's been very bothered by Under Grand Hotel's popularity, haha. The art is great, of course, it clear by the cover. The plot is not, unfortunately. It felt like "a group of beauties vs the other prisoners" to me from the first pages, because seriously, all the secondary characters are so goody-two-shoes, it's baffling. And the usual "gimme your ass and I'll be your hero on a white horse" routine among the prison-mangas is kind of frustrating already. But still, it has only been 2 chaps and it might get better in the future. Can't really recommend but will be following personally for some time for sure.

I do not know why no one is doing any comments for this awesome yaoi!!!! This manga reminds me of Under Grand Hotel, which is one of my top five yaoi manga. As of now this has only two chapters I really hope somebody starts translating this!!!
