Description
With her beautiful looks and outgoing personality, Shinozaki Akina used to be the leader of a group of hotties on the top of a class hierarchy. After her high school debut was delayed, however, she finds herself isolated in the class.
Next to Akina sits Sasamura Kaede, an otaku girl who can turn into a bishoujo with her glasses off. Akina decides to get Kaede out of the otaku life and groom her for a perfect high school life, but the only way to get close to Kaede is for Akina to pretend to be a Precure otaku herself to her chagrin...

An entertaining series

A very entertaining series! Definitely recommend that you try getting into it.
It's really funny seeing the main character Shinozaki Akina being put into all these situations which put her in difficult positions, which paired with her over-the-top reactions and faces, makes it really great for a laugh. She's just such a worrywart and perfectionist that it's ridiculous. Also, she has this habit of daydreaming and getting into hallucinations that involve her friend/crush Sasamura Kaede (who is the otaku that she's trying to turn into a normal girl). It's usually about them getting frisky, and then Akina promptly gets a nosebleed after. I've definitely felt like I was in her shoes sometime when I was in high school lol.
Plus there are a lot of references to many manga/anime in the series. It's pretty neat! Please give Shinozaki-san a try!!

A peek into otaku culture

This series is basically an otaku culture documentary with slapstick comedy on the side. Akina makes a good "knows nothing about X" protagonist, her crush on her classmate is more of a plot device to keep introducing her to new otaku stuff instead of any sort of an actual meaningful romance element.
I got the feeling of "I hope a lot of 'normal' people read this manga so that they learn not all otakus are gross and weird" from this series. The manga did a decent job in portraying both the passion of the scene and a bit of the more unpleasant side of otaku culture, although some of it was pretty cliché.
The comedy is fairly run-of-the-mill slapstick based on misunderstandings and pointless secrets; good enough for giggles, but felt like it dragged out and got a bit repetitive towards the end. Knowing about PreCure and Prince of Tennis will probably enhance your comedic experience since a lot of the in-universe satire comes from those series, but as a reader who doesn't know anything about either, I didn't feel too much left out of the comedy regardless.

I came into this expecting a long a$$ yuri series but was deeply mistaken. It was still a fun read tho, sometimes the jokes made me laugh hard sometimes they didn't.
Reaching the end of the chapters I could really see how the characters have developed over all the chapters. Yuri was just a subplot😭
The story = 8/10
the Yuri = 1/10
