Good vibes ^^
After reading the gloomy af Vampire Knight, Merupuri was a great breath of fresh air. It is a relatively simple story, cliché even, but it is nicely paced. It is funny, the characters are likeable, and the world building is decent enough. I smiled a lot while reading this.
This one beats the rest of her other works (no matter how popular Vampire Knight came to be, this one didn't make me sleep halfway thru). It's a long read, yes, but it's worth the while. It keeps you on your toes and it's interesting even if it's a bit dragging. Plus, the art is amazing. And this is probably one of the best 'elder female younger male' shoujo mangas out there. It's good.
A little weird...
Okay, so... I had a hard time with this one. I really wanted to like it, and it had a lot of great moments. But at the end of the day, she was still involved with a KID. Like. Aram is what... seven years old in his true form for the vast majority of the story? I don't have a problem with the woman being older in a relationship, but the fact that Aram was quite literally a CHILD, no matter his body's form, kind of made it hard for me to get into it. I would have preferred for the difference of years to be more like... Airi around 15, and Aram around 13 or something like that. It would be a lot more believable and a lot less creepy.

It was short but satisfying, you'll love the art and the story itself. I can never get tired of rereading this over and over again~ one of my most favorite manga. Aram is such a babe when he transforms nyaaa~
Satisfying, but nothing spectacular
This series had a cute premise, and the ending was an adorable one. But, it was fairly typical, and the art was the only thing that appealed to me. Even then, many of the characters looked the same.
I just wish that the cute phase where the boy was slowly falling in love would be a little longer. Oh well.

One of my all time favorites
I bought this series quite a while ago and I love it. My sister and I can read it over and over without getting bored (We can't do that with any other manga). The art is beautiful (we can expect that from Hino) and the story is fanciful yet not too over the top. There is comedy throughout the book which makes it extremely enjoyable.
It never grows old
I read this manga for the first time when I was in high school; about 7 years ago. It was before I had learnt about Vampire Knight and all of that and I loved it. I have since reread it several times over the years and it never loses its charm.
It is the type of fairy tale that you need to take at face value to enjoy but the exciting parts still make me squeal and the sad parts always break my heart. The art is well done and there are certain character's lines that I will always hold close to my heart. If there was ever a sequel I would go out and read it right away.
This is such a great manga! It's cute and it's innocent (not perverted or sexual like so many mangas now). It's got a nice mixture of magic, mystery, and romance. I think everyone should read it! It's nice and short too, so it's a good read that doesn't take weeks to finish!!
The story is just so cute. The art is nice and the costume look gorgeous! This definitely is one of the best mangas. Totally luv it~~~~~~~ @ Konstantine2010: Maybe you are misunderstanding. Have you read the end yet? When Aram turns 17, Airi is 20. And the royal family members have long life, including Airi. So the age is not a problem at all

Cute but...kind of disturbing?
If you don't read into it AT ALL this is a pretty cute series, and I wont lie, I did enjoyed it. However, the age gap is slightly disturbing to me. She's 15 and he's 7. Even if his body does transform into that of a 17 year old in the dark...he's still 7. I mean I get how she's lonely and likes having him around and I could even see a companionship kind of love that gets confused when his body looks older, but it still seems wrong if you think about it at all. I don't know how you fall in love with someone who is mentally 7 when you're 15. I mean, it wouldn't matter as much at the end when he's 17 and she's 24, but 7/15 is a bit much. So yeah, I guess it just surprises me that no one else seems to be upset by this? Wouldn't something like this count as shoutacon?
That aside, it is really cute. The feelings don't really seem forced, and I liked all the characters. The plot was fairly original. Nothing too deep, but a cute shoujo series. The ending/last volume felt a bit all over the place though. So I guess if the age thing wont bother you, I'd suggest it.
