Description
Jigokumeguri Haru is the heiress of one of the largest business empires in all of Japan. She is not only rich, but also practically a celebrity. However, partly because of her heritage and partly because of her arrogant and aloof behavior, she has always been isolated from her peers and has never been able to make friends. Thus she has without success so far transferred from school to school to finally find a place where she would be accepted.

This only begins to change when she meets her new classmate Kawayanagi Tsurezure, an outcast weirdo that dresses in 20th century fashion, talks little and smiles even less. Both being somewhat socially awkward, they thus begin an unexpected friendship.

Simple, yet deep

I am madly in love with this series, I mean it. I love the way it depicts their relationship in such a simple way, but still getting to the core to what they live and what they share, and just in their plain (yet unique) daily life. It's a perfect example of how character growth doesnt need much drama to be developed.
Beautiful.

Honestly, I hate 4-koma. The only impression I've ever gathered from 4-koma is that it is a lazy story device used by mangaka to deny the reader character growth in favor of quick gags(some of which only make sense with a japanese background) and easier storytelling; however, that was until I read Ojojojo. In less just 14 7-10 page chapters Ojojojo has portrayed more character growth than I've seen in 30 chapters of manga such as GE or KiminoIruMachi. If you give this one a chance I think you'll really love it. Plain and simple.
