Description
From Nagareboshi Manga:
Hikage is a reclusive 8th grader who no one seems to notice. She finds comfort in her blog, and the people who comment on it. Everything changes one day when two cute boys notice her. These boys are the most popular kids in the entire school. When one of them tells her something that she's always wanted to hear, she might not be as invisible as she thought.

It wasn't bad, but could have used a bit more drama.

I found the main girl and main guy to be adorable, but...

Spoiler (mouse over to view)
At one point, she ditches the main guy on a date to go talk to his friend. He didn't seem bothered by that and I wish he was. The girl wasn't as fickle as say Yukina from the author's other work (Watashi ni xx Shinasai!), but she did things that should have hurt the main guy, but didn't and then he gets hurt by things that shouldn't hurt him.

The best friend who was the other guy in the love triangle was kind of a douche who you were supposed to feel sympathetic for, but I never did.

Left a bad taste in my mouth

The first "arc" (contained in the first omnibus of the English release) sets up a strong and emotional story about overcoming shyness and finding human connection online and in real life. The second "arc" is a clumsy, garbage love triangle that draws attention to how over-the-top melodramatic the whole series is.
The series would have benefited by ending when the first half wrapped up, rather than dragging itself out and stretching itself too thin. If you plan to read the english release, do yourself a favour and either stop at volume 1 or don't go into volume 2 expecting the same quality of story as you got in the first half.
The art is very pleasant on the eyes though, Ema Toyama always makes CUTE characters.

Got worse and worse...

This started out as a cute though predictable story with the same old characters and the same old problems.
Then after one half it looses its cuteness, turns the heroine into some shounen manga MC turning baddies into goodies, becomes even more predictable than before, and makes the personalities of the characters totally obnoxious...

I found myself rooting for the evil girl sabotaging everything, but having her evilness cured she snaps back to being a boring character like everyone else.

Another thing: metaphors in manga can be very efficient and appealing if used correctly, using the same thing every 2 pages gets boring really fast, that's called bad writing and being uncreative

If you like shoujo in general you can stomach this. If you like Watashi ni xx Shinasai! you will probably like this. If not then run and look for something better.

predictable, sometimes cute, decent art but nothing special, only for fans - 6/10

As I read this story again today, it seems a bit silly.

However, back in middle school, I had become completely overwhelmed by shyness and loneliness.
I came across this manga and began reading it, understanding all of Hikage's actions. I had no true friends in real life at the time, so knowing Hikage was a character I could relate to somehow helped me tremendously and I was able to break out of my shell.

NOT AS BAD AS I THOUGHT

Even though the female protagonist was too emotionally weak, I like the fact that she wasn't like some other air-headed shoujo females and instead of choosing the tsundere guy, she went for the cute, nice guy who had always been in love with her. On the other hand, the heroine was not as strong as I usually prefer in my shoujo manga (like Kanoko in Koi dano or Yuri in red river) and the ending was too sticky sweet for me with all the classmates coming for her. All in all, it reminded me a bit of a Cinderella story but I liked it.........which girl didn't like Cinderella when she was little............... so am giving this a 5.5.

Childish

This is a typical shoujo manga with that ideal heroine who forgives every bad guy/girl and is cute and weak/dumb. Even if she had a progress in her personality, she irritated me a lot.
If I had 12 years old, maybe I'd like it, but I'm not and this is too childish for me.

It's adorable. Period. While for the first few chapters it also seemed terribly predictable and a little too similar to Kimi Ni Todoke, it surprised me and became a lot better and cuter too. The main girl is pretty much a typical uber-sweet shoujo girl but I found myself rooting for her anyway and the two main guy characters became more and more lovable and interesting as the story progressed. I also really liked that last Mega Pig oneshot at the end. It was funny. Overall, the art was cute and clean and this is definitely worth reading if you want something relatively short and sweet that will make you want to go hug somebody and plant a sunflower.
