A little too political for my liking... The action would have been great to see on anime (which I might have actually)?!

Spoiler (mouse over to view)
the plot sums it up. Guy falls for girl. Takes we to his country... Things happen and she gets taken.. While he fights to survive.. Big war against the politicians and rebels.. She was going to be someone else's slave girl?! Then she gets saved..

I'm kind of ambiguous about this manga..

On one hand, I give the art 9 and the originality of the plot and the story's progression 9.
On the other hand, the dialogues and emotions expressed by main characters seem a bit off at times. For example, Leon's reaction once he's being told that his whole family had been slaughtered; Miu's fast falling in love with Leon not too long after he "bought" her, and so on.
Generally speaking, it did keep my interest at times, while at other times it didn't, like on the 3rd volume when Miu was in NY and the whole issue with Prince. I kind of got lost there...
Therefore if you have nothing better to read, give it a chance... you may like it.

Who would name their country ''Tornado''?

What did I just read? Am I on drugs? Who would name their country after one of the most destructive natural disasters...

Miu is the Bella Swan of manga, she has no personality and doesn't do anything she just kind of goes with the flow and all hot man fall in love with her for no reason. And being able to dance tango is the most important skill in the world, forget basic life skills that's not important, tango is what you need to know.
The stupidest moment in the manga was:
Spoiler (mouse over to view)
When they told Leon that his whole family was slaughtered during his father's birthday party and his reaction was: Omg but my father was going to announce our engagement on the party, whatever shall we do now?

But almost every moment in it was stupid, so it wasn't easy to choose bigrazz

OK enough of my rant, if you read the description you know what you're getting into. And I have read other works that are as much as or more over the top and dramatic than this thing. But the problem I have with this is that it seems to me that the mangaka forgot the most important rule when conveying a story in a manga: show don't tell. And 2/3 of the story was narrated.

This is one of the weirdest coming of age story ever.

the art is beautiful and the plot is........ moderately original....and stupid. But, for some reason I didn't enjoy the story much. Why are all these guys in love with the girl again? Cuz she's Japanese?

I think she hit it off with at least 3 or 4 guys? And I never did understand why the two fell in their little "love trap" in the first place..... Hmmmmm........

And gosh, I'm guessing this girl is like the reincarnation of Helen of Troy? Why else would guys be risking EVERYTHING for her left and right? Talk about ridiculous!

To start off it wasn't that good. I thought the artwork wasn't all that, which kind of dimmed my interest. Then there was all the unnecessary drama. I mean she had a new guy falling for her in every volume. Like DAMN! Moving on.. As the story progressed, the art became better and the story was a little more appealing (if if at times wacky sigh) But I still enjoyed it, glad there was a happy ending :-)

I did not particularly like this manga because all Mui did was portray the part of a whore. she bewitches these different dudes but at the end runs back to her husband. You just get used to Mui not being with her husband so you start to root for the other guys. I really did like Juan! Mui's husband was great and handsome too. I did not like Mui at all! she never carries her own weight. That's why when I read a manga where a buncha girls/guys start pining over a clueless main character who ends up dogging them out in the end....Well I just don't read them. It's pointless and idiotic...why do the couples that get together always have to have different colored hair then one another? Many mangas I've read all do that. Mui is not my kind of heroine and the main character's relationship is a bit lacking for me. She's off with other dudes half the time and all the main couple do is kiss and have sex bringing across the wrong memo. Sex is not love nor will it ever be. I don't even know how they fell in love with each other when they were together for only a little while...it just doesn't make any sense. This manga is also very unrealistic. It would have been better if all these side relationships had never occurred. The one thing I did like about this manga was the artwork...too bad the plot's shot. How does one fall in love with someone they don't even know? That's something I'll never understand...If you ask me Leon could have done much better than Mui! What's soo great about her anyways?

anway this is one of the first mangas that i have ever encountered, i saw this first back in seventh grade and i was taken aback by the smut..and i thought that Miu was really submissive, for letting Leon do stuff to her, because if it was me i would have put more of a fight.
another thing is that their "love" is kindda unbelievable for me, i mean, they sleep together a lot. its like theyre implying that love = sex. that is just sad.

Miu is very typical and so is Leon, and all the other characters, except that they know how to tango, South Americann, addict, and all of those. anyway.. the only thing that makes me not to want to punch Miu in the face is the fact that she is sorta loyal to Leon yeah sorta because
Spoiler (mouse over to view)
she still slept with the guy with the long hair, god, with being submissive, i mean but it would be really alright with me if she slept with Juan :))

anyways.. im gonna say that this is pretty average. and at times the art is beautiful but Miu is not my kind of heroine.

It was a a good fix for me, because I was craving something with a lot of romance + shoujo. But the plot was kinda choppy, and I can't believe she captivated all those men lol! It's good that it wasn't any longer though.

I really enjoyed this! The lead man, Leon, was so sizzling and gorgeous. I also enjoyed the fact that for once, they made him older than the female. There was none of that ridiculous "17 years old and a billionaire". He must be at least ten years older than Miu (judging by the fact he was ten when Miyu's mother was still childless) Perhaps the manga could be criticised for not emphasising the age gap then... but at least it was there.

The other 'romances' she has with other men are well developed, and you get the feeling it's not just an excuse to throw another bishie at the female lead. Miyu isn't a very strong lead, but she isn't whiny and annoying like so many shojo leads - she has guts, even if it is blind courage, I would rather that than "Save me! Wah! I can't defend myself against 3000 rapists!"

The art is very good, but not brilliant, and overall I really enjoyed this and read it in just two sittings. I recommend it unreservedly!
