masterpiece

This is a masterpiece. Not because the art is pretty, or because of the characters. Its the plot. the way the author keeps trolling us is amazing. You never expect such trolling. so entertaining. Definitely the best Alice in wonderland based manga out there. I hope the author does not drag much in the future, although i love it, it would be disappointing.

My favorite manga ever

I cannot fully express my obsession over the brilliance that is Pandora Hearts. I am forever indebted to Mochizuki-sensei and my friend who had recommended this series to me.

Thus far, I've yet to find another manga with a similar art style to Mochizuki-sensei's. Her character designs are very distinguishable and show off the characters' personalities well. The way Mochizuki-sensei depicts the Victorian aged era styled backgrounds and settings are utterly gorgeous and breathtaking. Her sceneries, both on Earth and in other dimensions are perfectly made and beautiful.

The storyline has yet to disappoint me! Every chapter reveals a new surprise, and the haunting mystery of it all just grips me and makes me want more. Chapter updates can't come soon enough! Anyway, Mochizuki-sensei weaves the story so skillfully that it's almost impossible to just stop at the middle of it. The plot, though confusing at first, comes together in later chapters. I think that once you get a hang of it, you'll fully enjoy this series. Also, this series has lots of reference to Alice in Wonderland, through names and places. Because of this, I had a spark of reinterest in Lewis Carrol. Just a little info I wanted to throw in.

Okay, now my favorite part: characters. Oh, the story seems to mostly owe its awesomeness to it's fantastic characters! I think over 50% of it's awesomeness is due to how Mochizuki-sensei created all the characters. They all have such intense, gripping backgrounds that create who they are and the way they affect the story. I love it. It's really hard to pick just one favorite character, but I'm always rooting for Cheshire!

So, like I said, I couldn't express my amazement and fangirlness to this series. Highly recommended, so check it out!

I usually don't write manga reviews but i loved this manga, and i still do! I bought vol 1 and 2, it's the only one I actually bought. The story is very interesting , at some point I didn't get the story anymore so I kinda lost interest but when I got past that, the story started to make sense again XD And I got into it all over again, I'm always waiting for new releases, the art is amazing and the updates are always constant. Also all the characters are different and the relationships are too depending the character.

Very interesting smile ,theres comedy, romance, fantasy, drama, friendship, theres all; I recommend it ^^

Quite good character development.
To tell the truth, the plot is quite well done. Mochizuki-sensei does quite a good job in tying together the plot.
However, the characters are most definitely the strong point of this series. The female lead is especially attractive.
Even supporting characters are well developed, although Oz seems to be a little too carefree, considering his situation. However, nothing is too out of place.

This is one of my favourites. It has a great semi-historical fantasy setting with a large cast of great characters. The artwork is good and the story was a little confusing at first but things get explained as you move along. I really like the pacing of the plot – so many other series leave me bored or impatient while Pandora Hearts keeps surprising me. Like most of my favourite series it also manages to combine character development and a mystery plot with humour and quirky characters. Overall it is great fun to read.

So the other day me and my friends were at a bookstore and we stumbled upon this.
Only volume 1 and two were available so me and one other friend bought the sets.
It's really awesome and I'm upset that the third volume won't be released here until october 2010... ugh
I doubt there's romance but I really like how it's drawn and the story plot is cool smile

I agree with you vietangelix, if not because what my brother told me, I would have skipped this series. Watched the anime first and it turned out to be good, I finished ep 1-17 in just two days. Haven't watched ep 18 and the others yet.
Shonen manga? This surely become some revolution in shonen genre, not just the typical battle-become strong-friendship shonen.

I wonder why I skipped this manga when I first saw it.
But when I saw it again I decided to start it and the manga turned out pretty good. So this is one of the manga you shouldn't skipped out on. I'm not going to give it a rating until the end though biggrin
@Kujika:
It doesn't describe the art, it's the demographic it belongs to.
Like Shounen (means "boy") is manga marketed toward boys.
Josei (means ladies) is manga marketed toward older women..and etc. But anyone can still like read those demographics.

shounen?

I really love this manga ^.^
It is funny, sad, filled with mystery and fantasy plus it has a nice flow. The only thing I don't quite understand is why it is shounen? Shounen/Seinen/Shoujo/Josei describes the art and not what the manga is about. I'd say this art looks more like Josei. It's only my opinion though...
