Description

This manga is actually really good. Don't let the first few chapters turn you off. Seriously, it gets better in the later chapters.

And her short hair doesn't stay short throughout the story (as you can tell from the cover image of volume 4)

I hope the translators continue. It's a really good manga.

Ah, what can I say I like these kinds of stories,
First of all, the characters develop their feelings with each other once they know each other little by little, not like other shoujo where as soon as they see each other they fall helplessly in love.
The plots different from a average shoujo story, and the art is lovely, I love it <3
It's that type of manga that makes you want to keep reading it!
You should def. read this!

I actually really like this one. It has a sort of whimsical feel with a slight sinister edge without being too unbelievable and the romance is cute (though it has a lot of the typical shoujo situations and cliches that can apply in the fantasy genre). The characters are the hook for me though. They're funny, pretty believable and the character designs are fun and unique. The story itself is interesting and after the first couple of chapters I couldn't stop reading till I'd finished all there was to read so far. Overall, if you like a bit of light action and mythological fantasy romance, this one's a good one to pass the time with.

I have to say, I'm really excited about being able to read this. Everything that I've read of this mangaka's work is a wonderful combination of fantasy, fun, and lovely art. I'm only a little way in, but I feel like there are great things ahead for this series biggrin

My first impression of this manga was the typical shoujo, but it vastly improved as the story progressed, each chapter going somewhere deeper.

The plot, in my opinion, is unique and different from other types of plots involving mystical dragons in ancient Japan. It takes that and puts it own twist on it, and from what I've been reading it's going somewhere dark and deep. The romance in the story is very cliché, she blushes here, there, everywhere, but is still nice and heart-warming. The characters have their own personality and it can be seen with their own actions, which I think is quite good. The art is a tad bit above average, everyone looks fine except the main lead, she looked like a guy and wasn't drawn to my liking, until she had her 'transformation' and has longer hair and bigger boobs.

Read it, keep reading it until you get around the third volume, and decide if you want to keep reading. Recommended to shoujo lovers, shoujo readers in ancient Japan and magic.

After reading last volume, all I can say is that I changed the rating from 9 to 6. If you think this series is different from your average run-of-the-mill shoujo or have expectations for the supernatural theme to develop beyond being accessory to cliche love triangle... you'll be quite disappointed.
