Description
From Viz: Leo Aoi looks like a crazy animal with wild eyes, and he goes berserk whenever he feels threatened and sees blood. That doesn't stop animal-lover Yuiko Kubozuka from befriending him, however. In fact, Yuiko is the only person Leo will listen to when he has one of his violent fits...

Every so often, there comes along a manga that's perfect in every respect. Character development; perfect. Art; perfect. Story; perfect. Even the things which look like flaws, such as the use of clichés, only serve to make it more perfect, because it is executed so well.
Beast Master is a fun mix of humour, drama and romance. Rarely has a manga made me this happy. ^w^
When I first picked up Beast Master, I was sceptical. This would never be a good manga. Look at the cliches! But the art sucked me in, and Leo looked, well, interesting.
After reading, I have to say that it went beyond my expectations (but then again - I had incredibly low expectations).
The characters have little to no depth, the plotline is extremely cliche - but not yet revoltingly so and the entire manga is mediocre at best. Good for light reading, the type of thing you forget right after reading it.
This manga is awesome because this is a strong girl who knows what she wants. She doesn't whine or moan about trying to get a boyfriend. And Leo is so cute and seems naive, but in a manly way sometimes. I give this two thumbs up
this is a manga about not judging people on how they look or on first impressions, but rather on who they actually are. but it's actually really light most of the time. =P I'd definitely recommend it.
My God,i loooove this Manga! Its definitely on my favorties now, such an amazing shojo x33 I just read chapter 6 about half an hour ago,and i cant stop squealing x333 Its not like those super annoying shojo with montrous eyes and tears and so cheezy cute it makes you sick. But its the perfect amount of cuteness Leo is so Adorable!x333
Finally, a short manga that I fell in love with! I usually hate short mangas because they move too quickly, and you don't have a chance to get to know the characters! Not so with this one~
I was really sceptical at first, especially when I read the "extra-story" to begin. The art was rather attrocious on that. Either the artist is different, or she's really improved!
The storyline, except for the little "revenge bit" was really original, and the art was hilarious, scary, and cute all at once!
I can't seem to ever get this one out of my head. Knowing that its only 2 volumes long (even if I've only read one volume) makes me real sad. I love it, the main characters are both so interesting, and different from the usual. The art isn't really bad either. I can find nothing wrong with this story. Maybe its not super dramatic, or filled with metaphors and art that each page could be displayed on a scroll, but for a light love comedy, its really perfect. <3 At least I think so.
Sure the plot is not that great, but it does not matter at all. Just sit back, read and be in awe in front of the amazing and uncommon characters, the perfect shojo main-girl (actually strong, smart enough, not a crybaby and so on...) and the cutest boy ever with whom you can only sympathize and laugh. If you are searching for drama and seriousness, don't bother, but else you shall enjoy it for sure !
I'm a total sucker for this (unfortunately rare) type of manga, where the main male protagonist is someone rather naive who has to be protected and... well.. cuddled. If you are looking for something like that, this should hit the spot The main male character is completely adorable and the female protagonist is rather unique I thought, in that she diverges from the weak-willed cliche and just follows her heart. Lovely and really heart-warming. I loved it!
