A life description about the mangaka Aito Yuuki and his assistant Ashisu Sahoto. Aito-san doesn't understand the feelings of the characters in his stories. So he asks Ashisu to help him. Ashisu would do everything for the work. She would even grope her own breast so he will know how it feels like?!
The Habit?! The Pervert?! Can we understand them? That's the comedy of a mangaka life.

don't read it for romance
Spoiler (mouse over to view)
Romance is not there ...this manga is purely ecchi and comedy the lead female doesn't have interest in male lead and is indicated throughout manga till the end of manga she just respect him as his senior....and he knows. ....so its a trap for romance lover....
this is one of the most hilarious manga ever. i really really love sensei, he's so shameless, it's refreshing. i don't really like the 2 dimensional girls around him, but the response from sensei with the crying and the shouting makes it ok. my heart drop with the mascot cat, i really really hate mascot, that's why the rating is not as high as it should. but still, this is a great comedic manga.
I feel this is the first manga I have read (and I've read a lot!) that I like ALL the characters. I'm rooting for all of them! Everyone is endearing and goofy at the same time. I love it! The story is also great and clever, like a story within a story within a story. Even though its about panties, I'm not annoyed because the protagonist is so passionate about it lol.
"The June issue of Square Enix's Monthly Shonen Gangan anthology annnounced that manga creator Hiroyuki (Doujin Work) will end his Mangaka-san to Assistant-san to (The Comic Artist and His Assistants) manga in the next issue on June 12. The four-panel slice-of-life comic began in 2008 and told the story of professional manga artist Yūki Aito and his professional/personal relationship with his assistants.
The manga also ran in Square Enix's Young Gangan magazine. Square Enix will ship the sixth compiled book volume next month. "
Funniest manga ever. A perverted mangaka (but not in a bad way, it's pretty innocent and funny) + a super cute assistant, tsundere editor and add a second assistant that admires mangaka-kun and tries to be learn from him and be like him. Hilarity ensues. I LOVE this manga, grinning like an idiot non-stop.
Did I mention that it's super moe?

This manga is filled with supposedly vulgar jokes. But the characters are all so earnest and likable that it doesn't even feel 'dirty' or harem~ish in the slightest. It is established that the protagonist loves panties, but he's also harmless (kept in check by the rational females), refreshingly candid, kind-hearted, occasionally pitiful and never obnoxious. The other characters are also done well and adorable. Yupe, I can't hate anybody in this manga and while reading series like TLR makes me cringe, reading this one fills me with delight and even if bawdy jokes can hardly be original, the manga never feels stale at all. I've always believed the strongest asset of a comedy series is its own characters and their interactions with each other, and that, not the jokes themselves, will determine whether you find the manga funny and keep coming back for more, and the characters here are simply full of win.

lol only thing to say MUST READ if you like comedy XD, don't mind the haters below they are just dead and upsetting to the atmosphere of this manga :l ...none the less amazing to say the characters are developed from just a few pages in each chapter lol
I love this manga! Starts off a bit weird but gets funnier as it goes on and the characters are just great, definitely worth the read and gives exactly what i want from a comedy manga, it even has some story developments later on which really adds to it.
Be under no illusions, this is a very light-hearted and simple manga, with few...if any...substantial plot developments early on- it rolls more or less like a 4-koma. However, that isn't to say that it's not worth the read. This manga has moments and chapters of sheer hilarity and entertainment which I look definitely look forward to reading, so for anyone who wants a giggle or a manga to just put a smile on their face...I'd encourage you to give this a try

The later half of the manga
For someone who have read up to chapter 69, I can tell you there definitely is alot of developments. It amazes me how much the author was able to do in storytelling, character developments, and so on with only 8 pages per chapter.
It is definitely a must read, and it definitely won't be a disappointment. The latest chapters and developments have definitely made this manga much more enjoyable and easily becoming my favorite.
