Love it

This is the first manga I read by this author. I give credit to her for her hard working and mesmerizing art. The flowers look beautiful, and I believe they symbolize natural love for the couple. Kyuuu!

....aside that i dun think it was so bad. It could have been better in various parts, but i still enjoyed it~ cute couples, baka moments, a lil bit blood, some h scenes, likable characters, light yakuza stuff, one random one-shot with a cute black kitty, sweet love, okay stories, not too deep....
Anyway it was fine for killing boredom~ just another yaoi manga~

More personality?

It was good. That's it. I loved the artwork but, the story line, i'm sad to say, was a bit pants. Yakuza teddy bears...i'm really not into it. If the characters were a lot more robust(?) personality wise it would have totally worked..probably.

But it's a good way to kill time.

I really enjoyed this one by Akira-sensei! I noticed that she often does Yakuza stories, while I'm not a huge fan of them, I'm really enjoying her stories. I loved it how she manges to make her men look so manly and the screen tone flowers give it a hint of a shoujo to make it even more lovely. Her artwork is lovely as usual and would recommend to any fan.

A Collection

This is actually an anthology.

1-3: Covers the main story described. It's rather typical for the genre, but the art was so pretty and the pacing so zippy and steady, I couldn't stop reading even though the story will be forgotten tomorrow.

4: Title Unscanlated: A boss abuses his authority and selects a subordinate to pose as his lover in order to get rid of a pushy woman. Unexpected results happen...
Or Maybe not so unexpected! LOL. Pretty predictable story, the seme was a bit selfish and unlikeable, but again the art....*_*

5: Renryo ni Sakasete: A yakuza man, by happen-stance, meets a pet shop worker and wants to take the worker home, not the cat he ends up with...
Very cute and fun-spirited. It didn't promise much other than sparkly art, uber feminine uke and muscular but pretty seme...very playful. SO it delivered with a nice balance.

6: Two X Two Rings - The final few pages are devoted to the theme of manifesting one's love with commitment. How does one show this other than jewellery? Akira-sensei gives her readers two affectionate stories: one about the title couple and the other about the cat boy and his 'master'.

Exquisite, refined and memorable work would be had if, as Pleochroic said, "this drawing talent got together with a writing talent."

I laughed aloud after reading people's comments. And yes, I agree with everything that's been said so far. I'm giving it an 8 only for the second couple's story because it finally had the action, story, cuteness, and character development that I was looking for in a yakuza story (okay, maybe not cuteness, but she managed to make it work here) and it's worth reading. (Pleochroic, you are my hero for the lube comment. I've been thinking it for a while, and I couldn't have put it better myself. xD )

handsome men, beautiful art, lovely drawing style .... but structures of the story suck BADLY. it happens very fast and character building is just too shaky and amateurish. I love sensei's drawing, the men she is drawing are so beautiful like Greek gods but she really doesn't know how to tell a story. what a pity.

Overkill?

Akira Norikazu has amazing art, but her overuse of flowers distracts me. They are in nearly every panel, used to accentuate the beauty of her male characters. Not that they aren't lovely to begin with. This story features the yakuza with a fresh new heir and his loyal bodyguard. Standard fare for this type of series. Unoriginal, but somehow satisfying. If you're into the fluff, definitely go with this title.

I love her men

Huh, while the flowers are shoujo-like, her men are some of the most masculine I've seen, and her love-making scenes very physical and real. The seme sweat with effort . You can see them working at it. That makes it... ah... effective, and affective.

Her uke are either typical or as built as the seme. The ones in this book tend toward typical, but the seme have all the testoterone that's needed. I thought the two yakuza seme were quite convincing as what they were, rougher guys with experience in violence. Of course, since the story is romance it's going to focus on a love love relationship so they won't be spending their time killing and maiming. But they do get rough at a couple points to remind you of what they are, especially the second seme.

And I love that her stories have lots of moments of cute thrown in.

All in all, she's one of my favorite mangaka, up there with Yamane Ayano.

I agree with pleochroic, you have great art and yakuza on one hand but then it plays out like a shoujo manga, where the seme even had to rescue the uke at some point.
