Stay away its NTR

I hate this mangaka but i like the art his wife produces. So i at least tried to give it a fair chance.
Guess what i hate this manga(from the get go i might add) and the leads can all go to hell.
At least i will never read Satou Nanki again. For a good office romance read Living Game.
Just look at the ratings curve and stay away. If you don´t know what NTR is just look it up here:

Annoying at times

Coming into this manga I thought she would forget about the whole condition and just go have sex with him in the first couple of chapters but I was wrong. Reading this manga you could see how much the main character is in love but at the same time it seems all he wants is sex. It gets to the point were you just want to slap both characters for being idiots in the first place

The angst is pretty great but it seems to quite quickly devolve into a bunch of sex. I started reading it again recently, and it recovers a few chapters in from her Nigoya boyfriend's story. At times it seems realistic and at other times it has me going 'how could anyone do that!?'

The text at the end of chapters is just beautiful, though. Major props not just to the mangaka but to the scanlators for managing to make it so emotive at times.

All it takes is one kind, gentle idiot with good intentions.

Love polygon, angsty and masochistic H-tragedy about lies, tender romantic love, painful hopeless yearning, and good intentions. VERY EMO. NO GANGSTERS, WARS, RAPES, DEATH, AND ABUSE HERE - ALL ABOUT BASICALLY NICE PEOPLE MAKING THEIR OWN MISERY. Stunning use of facial expressions and subtle touches and gestures overwhelmingly driving the whole plot.

The focal point of the M-shaped polygon is the young office lady Seiyuu Hina, a sweet, kind, supremely gentle ditz, whose weak-willed go-with-the-flow choices and penchant for compassionate lies royally bugger everything up for the five involved (as of chapter 42), especially her own... in caving to male determination, circumstance, and her weaknesses, she ends up with two boyfriends, a "committed" long-distance relationship with the blissfully ignorant mysterious "Nagoya" (for several volumes, only his city of residence is known), and a "pretend romance of convenience/FWB" (without crossing certain lines) with the dour salaryman protagonist... being always there on a daily basis, desperately in love, playing the "real" boyfriend parts, all the while constrained by rules and the knowledge of forever being a temporary #2 would be wangsty enough, BUT that's just the appetizers. BOTH boyfriends are in fact long-time obsessive love interests of two of Seiyuu's friends, both of whom are another tragic variety of love-struck naivete and bad choices. Add major flip-flopping indecisiveness, depressive angst, and Hina's tendency to try (and spectacularly fail) at telling white lies or acting fake-OK while blinking back tears (she's the sort of cute, gentle idiot to kiss the name of a loved one on a phone call...before rejecting the call, because it'll be "better that way"), for the supposed greater good of all involved, and we have a major, major mess.

lots of very vivid scenes of emotional anguish, interspersed with crowning moments of gentleness, and repetitive naive and unintentional heart-rending betrayals. all loves are hopelessly obssessive, full of delusion, jealousy, and bleak self-hatred.

NOTE: saccharinely tender love scenes with a bitterly sad aftertaste abound and the only thing more commonly seen than Hina's tears or the protagonist's bitter frowns and dejected grimaces are Hina's massive bare jugs... All in all, though, the plot and the wangst make it all rather un-pornographic, regardless. It's all about the expressions. The sad, dejected glances or hopeful puppy-love-struck stares generally directed at them just aren't particularly horny or even salacious... it's more of a dreaming of love and acceptance, go for the boobs and hope for a miracle thing.

It's all so very heartbreaking... and, very often, fits-of-rage-inducing. PROBABLY BECAUSE IT'S PAINFULLY REALISTIC. best depiction of helplessly obsessive yearning and angsty romance I've ever seen in any genre, on any medium.

Can you criticize a work for its premise, I don't think so. But it does completely dump it in the very first volume so yeah. It's about people making all the bad choices. I think this manga tries to portray them a bit more positively, like it wants them in a position where you might forgive them. The hair at her boyfriend's sounds like an out, except that it doesn't prove anything and she's the one to act out as far as both she and the audience are truely aware of, I'm annoyed at these stories that think you can justify a character's position without evidence and that it isn't all in their heads. I'm sure this manga will try to justify it but it'd be hilarious if it really was just some guy's(neighbor, or group of friends with a girl). The guy's so desperate for the girl that he's uncaring about her situation(which makes him a douche). The girl's just weak(guy is too, she's a douche as well). If she can't deal with it, she should have done something about it. Still... it's plausible, people are shitty/weak afterall. I've read the other works by these mangaka(both) and she/they/he is very thoughtful about situations, but I'm not seeing it here. Though if I'm being picky the premise was that he wanted her but she wouldn't cheat on her boyfriend, I think that story would have been interesting. The story of someone actually having to move on despite the crush because the relationship isn't possible, or about someone in pathetic desperation, while her long distance boyfriend gets to do her while he acts more like her boyfriend, or a story about realizing you can like a woman and want her in your life in a way that isn't sexual. All those would have been interesting, and possible based on the premise but the story is a simpler one where the guy and girl definitely cheat, almost right away, so I won't even consider it a spoiler. because if the premise is that she didn't want to cheat, and sexualize their relationship, it totally fails, and they do lots of sexual acts.

Frankly I am disappointed it didn't even live up to the premise. The way the girl constitutes what is cheating just makes is just very dumb(but she admits it later). The emotions aren't heavy because it's never built up despite being so slow and having apparently ten volumes to tell this story(that doesn't seem to have much meat to it, I think they could have told a better story in one). And this is the weakest work I've read by these persons; the good ones, especially the artist's, *where in they truely look at something, both sides, the faults, without forgiveness or outs.

I can't overstate how thoughtless this seems compared to their other works. How lacking it is in that feeling of emotion and heavyness. How easy it is on the characters, It's not the kind of story they make because it's too simplistic, and idealized about something that's about people doing something awful.

After volume 4: *It finally starts doing that in volume four, which goes with my criticism of how slow this is for one of their works, and it doesn't change the criticism for that time. The story's also finally getting interesting. Ironically seems people who give it low scores are doing so for the manga correcting these problems(they like it less as it gets good), guess they want the crappy version.

So this work's real problem is that it doesn't show it's cards soon enough, it just takes too long with it's first three volumes and stretches what should have been one or one and half.

Though this series is labelled as ecchi, you wouldn't feel much of an ecchi because this story keep getting more and more romance drama, and it's a good one.
The problem is, after the volume 3
Spoiler (mouse over to view)
The story shift its focus to the other character in the other place. The series is still good and interesting but you'll have a feeling like you're reading spin-off manga.
Same world, same story settings, but almost every characters changed. It's like you were reading Iron Man and it Suddenly become The Avengers.

I still think the manga is good. But it'd be better if it doesn't just left the story on the other side halted like that for many volumes.

Update: Just finished this series
Spoiler (mouse over to view)
After I've read the whole series, the shifted focus now seems to make more sense.
But still, it's too long. It'd be better if the Nagoya arc were 50% shorter.
Anyway, this is a really good series.
