Zushio was to be king and promised his sister that he would become king (on penalty of death). Unfortunately for him, his empire was overthrown and now he's a wanted man. A girl has the misfortune of running into Prince Zushio and becomes tangled in his plight. Adding to her misfortune, Zushio is not quite right in the head, but hey, at least he seems to be immortal.

The manga's plot loosely follows the idea of Zushio claiming his throne, but it's mostly just misfit fun with that as a back drop. The manga most closely resembles Bobobo-bo Bo-bobo with more cohesion, or Needless with less of a plot.
Rating: 3 of 5 It's nothing special but I thought it was amusing enough to warrant the read.
An awesomely funny manga. The fact that it series was canceled due to a rift between the author and the magazine is a shame, furthered by the fact that Kimura-sensei's recent work (Seto no Hanayome) is so uninteresting.
It's nice to see that I'm not alone in my adoration of this series. There is no other series I've ever re-read as many times - not even close - and for the simple reason that there is simply so much originality and concentrated hilarity that somehow it still amazes, even after so many readings.
It's interesting how the art style can be at the same time so messy and yet so good. So many things are lampooned, so many styles are used, exagerated and even merged together at various points as the mangaka takes you on his demented ride - it's simply so much fun!
As a comedy style, it is a little bit like Excel (as mentioned by a negative reviewer), in that the pace is very fast and wild, but unlike Excel, which kind of peters out after a few episodes/chapters, this goes on strong the whole way.
Big thanks to Mangascreener for the scanlations - it could not be this awesome in English without their doing a great job on the translation/etc., I'm sure. I'm curious to see how the commercial translation will turn out (hopefully one day soon?), actually.
One of the few true comedies in manga. How many times have you searched for comedy manga just to find something with a few comic relief characters and that's it? I cannot tell you how annoying it is when I look for a comedy, find something thats funny, but then it takes a drastic turn into a more serious story. Sometimes it's ok, but when you're in the mood to just laugh it's not. So far only three manga have ever satisfied this desire to read something that just genuinely makes me laugh and feel good.
My Name is Zushio Yotsuba! Mr. FullSwing. And yes, if you base your reading solely on art, you will not like Zushio, the cover art up there is as good as it gets. but if you like comedy you'll love it.
BTW, Silver has the most hilarious entrance I've ever seen, but I won't spoil it here.

This was soo good. Loved Silver the horse and the fact that the female lead wasn't sucky and weak (lol manly zuka). It needs a little bit of time to get used to the art but once you understand that the flow of the story is fast with no overall meaning it's a joy to read. So funny that I wanna forget as much as I can of this manga just so that I can read it all over again, if only the mangaka could have donemore of this stuff compared to Seto no Hanayome which is comparatively boring.
it made me laugh till my stomach hurts n tired.. its truly deeply madly FUNNY!!! even tough the art its not that good,, but the story its so funny n ucant stop laughing... really an idiot ones.. loved it,, i've never read comic that made me laugh like this one,, u MUST READ it!!!!
Extremely outrageous. - 0.4 for the not so interesting ending. I loved this manga compared to "Seto no Hanayome", in terms of the varied personalities, interesting situations and oddball eccentricities everyone had.
This is so funny, that you might need a strong heart. Remember to practice your breathing before starting a chapter...
More seriously I love the art, it goes well with the manga. The character have crazy facial emotions, the characters have funny designs, or are just plainly stupid looking (in a good way <_<).
And for the main selling point : the comedy. I NEVER EVER laughed so much on a manga. I had tears of laugher. There were time when I remember some scene of the manga, at work, and couldn't stop laughing. This is crazy... The mangaka is a genius in my eyes... Too bad it ended already :s. This is a manga that you never want to end. To release some stress, enjoy a good laugh, or for when you are depressed, there is no better cure than this manga ! 10/10 !
Ok... there comes a manga that is so funny that you might want to read this one sparingly, like a chapter a day. It is very funny and it is not for the faint of heart. It is not very story-driven so this can be one of those manga that you can crack open to see just how much it hurts to laugh so much.
This gets a 10/10 from me just for the scene where zushio says he's chosen by god and gets the knife thrown at him... So disappointed it only went on for 4 volumes, but i suppose it wasn't ever too heavily story orientated, so a short longevity was to be expected
